8-9/10
First of all. My mind is blown. I love Feige's social media tactics to throw fans off so the movie isnt as predictable. At this point I dont know what to believe when kevin fills us in. That or its as if MCU does the complete opposite of what fans think are gonna happen to an extent.
Anyway. I'll start off with the bad as there isn't much.
- What I didnt like as you said DL, the score in the beginning needed to be a menacing intro. It felt off and flat.
- second was hulk/banner conflict. I found it funny the first time, but when we saw it again during the battle in wakanda, it felt annoying and cheesy.
- the build up to wakanda was zero to non existent or maybe just the way it transitioned cudve been better, or maybe a better build up score to it. But it just didnt flow.
Aside from that, this alone takes a point or 2 out. I know it can be a little harsh but this Movie needs to be perfect all around. Its 10 years in the making. Little details to even the smallest details matter.
Now onto to the good
- Holy chet at shock factor. Applaud to Feige and Russos. Did not expect that ending. Chet just got even more real post credits. When people were fading away, and everyone was clueless, not sure whats happening, the tone and score used for this made it seem like a horror movie, it was scary because eeven the heroes didnt know what to do and were scared themselves despite having each other around.
- Second Thanos is not your typical MCU Villain as I expected. He was very strategic, emotional and deep. There's a purpose, strategy, reason and thought behind his actions. Just the way he setup tony and gamora all along was brilliant. What I also liked is how he is vulnerable. He may be a Titan, a god at that point but he can be beat with good teamwork. He also bleeds and wounds. He also has deep feelings and too much respect (to an extent). These can be manipulated and used against him. But he is definately my favorite MCU villain as of now. And possibly villain. He just didnt come off as a typical badie. That wants to kill for the purpose of killing.
- The pacing was pretty good. Both the action scenes and non action scenes were balanced. I felt niether draged on, on my end at least. If anything movie didnt feel long enough.
- I liked how the actors got really emotional on this one, theres alot of emotions running through here.
- The jokes were pretty funny so aslong it wasnt repititve.
- The action scenes were good in a way were it was refreshing since we got to see different team ups and villains.
-loved how things werent predictable.
Questions
1)
- so is red skull death?
- if so, how and why?
If not, how and why is he floating around?
2) When Thanos was at the after life (or was it) for brief moment and came across young gamora, was that gamora? or was that someone else in disguise of gamora to manipulating Thanos's motives? Or was she symbolic of his motives?
These 2 questions got me wondering all night.
Looking forward to seeing it again this weekend.
