it sounds more like you are trying to convince yourself.... out of all the Guardians its been Quill thats shown more leadership qualities..... granted he's prone to emotional fuck ups but I dont see this movie as an attempt to make Rocket the leader.

Convince myself of what? That Rocket's the leader? They're a team. Rocket isn't the tactical leader, but Rocket wanted to be pilot #1 in GOTG2. Then he grew up a little and now they work together. But Rocket is capable of taking what a Captain is seriously. And that's shown when he talks to Thor. Quill, still a hothead that killed trillions of people.

That's true, I was just impressed with how cool and fluid the motion on the spider legs looked. Legit how I imagined it reading the comics. The way they bring these fantastical powers to the screen is so amazing. Never expected such comic accurate depictions of powers and fight scenes.

If Thor makes it through this thing and Hemsworth stays on, it'll be interesting to see what they do with him. Asgard is gone.
They can't really make a solo Thor movie on Earth without it being an Avengers movie...so it'd have to be cosmic..I don't see them really doing that at this point in time

jeah but thanos has the time stone and thor can implore the bifrost with the stormbreaker weapon.

I need to rewatch GOTG 2.
I only saw it once and was a bit disappointed with it, but i need to give it another go. I loved pretty much every scene that had the Guardians in IW.

It's on Netflix now. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I liked GOTG1 but wasn't quite as high on it as everyone else. GOTG2 though, I thought was just excellent. I like how they cast distinguished, experienced actors for these movies. Kurt Russell as Ego was great. Then Robert Redford in Winter Soldier, Glenn Close And John C oreilly in GOTG1, Brolin as Thanos etc.

YES! It looked EXACTLY like the one he wore in the comic civil war. I was geeking out at how awesome it looked. And I LOVE the mentorship role between Tony and Peter. When Pete was turning to dust in his arms begging Stark to help him.....

Yeah they really hit gold with the casting of peter. I like that kid a lot

no lol, I didnt even mean that in an offensive way. I just meant about Rocket being mature, it seems like you are trying to convince yourself of something that isnt true. Neither Rocket or Quill are mature.... but both have had mature moments.... while both have made fuck ups as well.

Also Rocket is a tactical genius as well as Quill, but its Quill that takes charge in key moments. also LOL at saying Quill killed trillions. indirectly yes, his reaction caused them to fail their mission. but he didnt kill anyone

Mike the Theater went bananas when he showed up with rocket and Groot. What an incredible moment

Yeah Cap’s first appearance got a huge ovation in the theater.

Thor arriving with Rocket and Groot via the bifrost and then wrecking shit and yelling “Bring me Thanos!” Got an even bigger one.

Such an epic scene.

And such an awesome film. I really don’t think the powers that be could have pulled this one off any better than they did.

Feige, the Russos, the cast, the writers, the crew all deserve a ton of respect.

The only issue: next year’s film has a lot to live up to. Going to be tough to top.

im curious about if thanos will use the time stone on thor and make him old, like in the cartoon.
that would be epic.

because thor is a guardian and when a guardian gets older he gets more powerfull.
in the cartoon old man thor was able to beat up thanos and thanos was forced to set the time back to not get beat up by thor.

Yeah I was cool with the reboot just to get Spidey in the MCU, but I was thinking ugh another version of Spider-Man. But gotta hand it to them, they're casting is always on point. He plays a GREAT teenage parker, and is young enough to continue in these movies and take on a leadership role when Steve and Tony are gone. That's the direction it's gone in the comics, with Spidey becoming a respected leader. I'd love to see a movie version of that with Spidey leading the avengers. Get Luke Cage in there too.

Yes but I'm not sure it's even an implication, to be honest. It's kind of plain sight, but Mjolnir is basically Odin creating Thor-with-training-wheels. It's all confined to worthiness.

great movie but i disliked some details.

1. for example black panther doesnt used his charged suit like in the movie.

2. vision kinda sucked overall in fighting. he has the infinity stone in his head and he wasnt still powerful, just got beat up by everyone. that wasnt authentic. marvel made the infinity stone holder very powerfull before.

3. drstrange got outstrucked by a mage which works for thanos but against thanos he makes some very skilled moves.

4. i hope captain marvel isnt more powerful than thor and hulk. i hope she doesnt beat up thanos alone. that would be disappointing.

Black Panther actually did use the charge power in his suit. He used it against Thanos' version of Hulk.

A lot of people are complaining about Vision's weakness, but he was sneak attacked in the very beginning while walking down the street with his girl. He was essentially taken out of the fight from the get go. Dude got a blade through his gut. He wasn't just beat up.

And styles make fights . Thanos has different powers than Maw. Strange takes a bit of time to cast his spells,he can do that with Thanos, and he was fighting Thanos with a group.
And it's not like Strange CAN'T beat him. But Maw got the first round

You should watch the Thor/Rocket scene again. Rocket is very mature in noticing Thor's problem and helping him fix it. And then giving him an eye from his butt. I said they're not going to be completely mature. But it's important they have maturing moments. There were opportunities for Quill in IW but they just went back to him being a hothead, which I find dumb and lazy.

Rocket is tactical guy #2. Peter Parker had the guantlet off but Peter Quill just needed to be stupid. Everyone knew what Thanos wanted to do, and everyone thought they knew what Quill wanted to do. But it turns out Quill is dummy. Peter Parker is Peter #1.

How about when Thor was flying thru those transport ships and kllling the enemy at the source. Loved it.


Whats even crazier is that if they made Thor even more powerful than we saw on screen would’ve been acceptable because he’s that powerful

It's nuts because with over a decade of buildup, a lot of people said this would be disappointing. But it just blew everyone at my theater away. I haven't seen a crowd so into a movie in quite some time. The theater was absolutely packed too. Felt like I went on opening day. This movie is gonna be an absolute juggernaut.

I loved GOTG 1...didn't hate 2,but definitely liked 1 was better.
I'm gonna rewatch em both

And yea, Marvel really knocks it out the park with casting.
