The fact that we 100% know there will be a sequel for Spiderman made me cringe a little at that moment. I mean he’s gonna come back.
Even still it was a blow. He was the hope and optimism for the team, had not been disenfranchised by all the events like the others. Also he was Tony's redemption, so it will either break Tony or drive him to fix things.

Was a powerful scene. People in my theater were balling their eyes out.

The soul stone must be earned not attained, so if he was to just bring her back he would be cheating, he had to make the ultimate sacrifice and kill someone he loved for it and that is the price you pay.

(Not arguing with you or saying you're wrong)

But hes accomplished his mission, cant he just get back her back from the soul stone?

Yup. Ppl later on may not understand what we've went through in investing in MCU spiderman up until that point.

So the delivery was a shock factor at that moment

This is worth posting, and if you like long-form movie reviews you'll love this video.

Mauler recently became popular on youtube for destroying Black Panther, Star Wars Episode 7, and Episode 8.

For 'The Last Jedi' his three videos are a total of 5 hours. He had alot to say about every aspect of that movie, with very little praise.

But for Infinity War, this 53-minute video, he has 100% praise for it.

Really makes you wonder how damn good the new Star Wars movies would have been if Disney put people of equal competency in charge of Star Wars as they did Marvel.

Agreed I think if every franchise had just about Feige's similar passion, understanding and direction for that particular cinematic universe, it could do well.

Feige, had the whole thing laid out 10 years back and took a risks with Iron Man. And now here we are.

The only way I see him doing it is by rewinding time to when she was alive but that would undo everything he has done?

Her physical body is dead and her soul has been sacrificed for the stone, he can't just go in and get her or revive her as he has no such powers.

Maybe the other stones can't interfere with the soul stone's power over souls and if he tried to bring her back (time rewind, reality) she'd just be a lifeless body.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they came to some sort of agreement to loan out the characters prematurely. Say for instance that the deal is completed but only minor details remain that will in no way cancel the agreement.

Or maybe the entire deal is a work and it’s already done. Marvel knows that they need to be ahead of all the nerds theorizing twists so I’m sure they throw out a ton of misdirection.

The deal cannot close without the approval of the US government because of antitrust laws. That’s why it won’t close till summer 2019. It could very not happen at all. The government kiboshed the merger between AT&T with Time Warner, it could very well kibosh this deal too. That’s why you won’t see any Fox Marvel properties crossing over with Disney Marvel until the deal is basically a veritable certainty. In the meantime both sides need to carry on as business as usual in the event it doesn’t go through.

The end of gotg 1 is still my favorite ending to a marvel movie.. Blowing off the destruction of nova core headquarters and xandar is dangerously close to killing admiral akbar off screen. They need to have something on that in GOTG 3.

I guess I’m too much of a MCU fanboy as when the whole thing was happening i considered the snap more of a displacement rather than a killing.

In my head i was like “he has a sequel, he has a sequel, his contract is for 4 more films. Oh shit!! RDJ! His contract is up he might actually die! Oh wait they saved him nvm.”

Seen it 3 times and I'm gonna take my niece to go see it next week. Some stupid dildo of a kid already told her Black Panther and Spiderman die and her parents don't take her to movies, so I kind of feel bad for her.

God damn it's even better a second time.

Find that kid, and punt the shit outta him.

Agree with your comment, most people knew spiderman was getting a sequel. So i didn't think he was gonna bite dust. That's what shocked me the most.

During the first viewing, it didn't get me much, because it was such a shock. But the second time, i definitely felt the emotion of the scene.

I actually feel though that part of Feige's success is that whilst obviously a lot of planning has gone into this its also been kept to a level were its not totally dominating what the films can be, just that they can fit together and make sense.

You look at Thanos for example and yeah we've had featured a little previously to the degree there was expectation the Russo's still ultimately had a pretty free hand with him to create the character they needed to tell this story.

That's also I think why Marvel has successfully held peoples interest for a decade and 19 films, in the last few years especially theres been a very significant variety in the style of what they've offered. I mean personally around 2013 I was starting to feel a little burnt out with the earlier more uniform style yet the introduction of the Russo's more serious edge and the Guardians style cosmic one countered that nicely.

Question,

Cant Thanos bring back Gamora?

I mean its not like it will undo his doing if he does bring her back right?

Just a thought, since she is his "everything".

Yeh, he has the time stone

This is a good movie, but I dont like the way Loki die. He too cunning for that.. I thought we were seeing a projection of him. Maybe it actually his, projection and we see Loki in the next. And then Loki wises up, and brings in Dormammu and Agamotto, and some other cosmic entities. I hope we see the Grand Master in the Next one.

When is the next one coming out?

And LOL at Dinklage playing a giant dwarf.

And LOL how easy it was to kill

Ebony Maw. And his voice is unexpected. And what is his power set again?

Shits depressing,

Dont know how much more dramatic ppl want this scene to be.

Tony looked like he was upset at himself and felt like a failed father. Its like he wanted to break but was holding it in

Fun fact: Tom Holland wasn't given a script for the death scene. He winged it. Kid has got some serious skills:cool:

You don't need to use Spoiler Tags. Maw had powerful Telekinetic abilities.

Why do we measure films in total box office instead of number of tickets sold? Would it not be easier if we just counted the people who had seen it?

Apologies if there's an obvious answer to this.
