Is there any logic I'm missing as to why the avengers couldn't stop Thanos without the gauntlet, when in IF1 the squad on Titan had him on the ropes

On Titan you had a large group of heroes knowing he was coming and able to plan their attack, this time you had Thanos getting the drop on them and the most you had at once was Cap, Thor(out of shape) and Iroman(lacking the nanite suit) going after him at once.

She has so many good scenes. When she takes care of Tony in the ship. Her rapport with Rhodey. When she closes IW Thanos' eyes on his decapitated head.

Imo she’s one of the best characters. She has a touching back story.

I really didn't see the SJW agenda some of you are complaining about. There was one scene where all the female heroes were on screen at once. Big deal lmao

lol i am hungover and had nothing better to do so i actually made a review

I thought Cap was going to give the shield to Bucky, but I think they wanted to mix it up.
As mentioned in one of the replies here, I think it had to do with Bucky having a past full of terrorism. I guess it wouldn't look good if a guy with the Captain America shield was one of the most notorious terrorists in history. Falcon was also with Cap through thick and thin as well, I guess in a way he also deserved it.

I agree. As they say, there are a lot of scenes where all men are together and no one complains. then they put one scene with the girls together and people complain. I kinda understand though in a way that people are scared of the TLJ effect, but this entire movie didn't feel SJW at all.

Yup. That's exactly what I thought. It's not like they all came in at the end, kicked everyone's ass and saved the day. In fact 99% of them hardly did anything up until right at the end.

Andddd have to remember the history of Tony and Bucky. Tony's dad made the shield. Bucky killed Tony's parents.
How is Cap going to give the shield that Tony's father made to his killer?
Brainwashed or not, it just wouldn't be right.

Definitely wasn't a big deal, nor did it take away from the movie much, but it was noticeable in that one scene.
The difference between the scenes with the all Male scene ls and the all female scene was the intention behind them.

The scenes with only Male superheroes were not a "fuck yea, big dick bro time". But That scene with literally only all the females was about showing 'girl power' in a movie that had plenty of strong women doing strong things throughout.
Wasn't mad, and didn't ruin the movie, but it got an eyeroll outta me

yeah i understand. maybe i wasn't that bothered because I saw the wasp in there. Just seeing wasp join ant-man in battle was really cool to me. In Ant-Man and the Wasp, she mentions that Antman wouldn't have gotten caught if Wasp joined them in Civil War. She finally did join in Lang in the biggest fight of their lives which was extremely cool to see

EDIT: when they all started appearing out of the portals to join Cap, I thought it would just be the same people in Infinity War. Seeing more heroes/troops join was the biggest surprise for me. Truly subverted my expectations

You must have been rolling your eyes the whole time during Black Panther then lol

I kinda feel like even knowing about SJW politics and stuff causes people to enjoy things a little less now. If I was ignorant of all that shit I wouldn't have even thought about it, and would have thought it was a cool moment.

Haha not at all. I liked Black Panther quite a bit. And the all female king's guard is part of the comics and part of the story.
I didn't feel like they were shoehorned in there to make a point. I felt they were naturally strong characters, and were used well.

But that one scene in End Game was clearly just there for 'girl power'. And was out of place in a setting like that.
They're in an all out war and all the female heroes are just chilling together on the battlefield? Lolwut?
I'm open to anything that makes sense. I dont really care about the politics if it makes sense

Just got back; When the back up arrives via swirling shit.... yeah, Thats. Whats. Up. Actually trumped Captain Thor for me, which was just amazing af. Nice nod to Secret Wars Hulk. Nebula greatest MCU character confirmed.

I've gotta watch it again before I give it a final score, but my euphoria has it somewhere around a 13/10 right now.

gripes; small but gotta get 'em off my chest.

Love that they let Thor kill Thanos, but felt they took his moping a little too far. Didn't get how Thor was supposedly scared when he was 2/3 vs. Thanos up to that point. Also didn't like the shade they threw at him by crediting Stormbreaker with the kill.

Happens in the comics, too, but I really don't like inconsistent powers.
Thanos with 3 gems was almost beat by IM & the GotG, but Thanos with no gems was able to shrug off TWO Thors AND more advanced, informed IM? And Mar-Vell, who is still just really unlikeable, shakes off that headbutt?
Loved Wanda doing work, but again... the power inconsistencies.

Felt they rushed the passing of the torch at the end, but loved it.
That lack of respect for the space time continuum, doe.

Also felt it should have been Clint. I think we all did. I won't tag MikeMcMann just in case he didn't see it.

The all women scene was kind of cringy.

Asgardians of the Galaxy .... Nebula, Mantis, Draxx....AND THOR? OMG! just take my money. All of it.
Impressed that they didn't resurrect Gamora, but excited that that the search for Gamora is a good segway for this movie.
Hopefully they introduce Angela.

Sorry, I meant it in the sense of Marvel pushing the narrative of empowering a perceived under privileged class. 'Cause I felt like Black Panther did that way more and I still enjoyed it.

I do understand what you mean about it how they're just all randomly chilling together lol I don't think you're supposed to really think too much into it. It's just a nice moment for anyone who appreciates it, and if not then it's easily forgotten about. At least that's my take on it anyway.

Also, Why not have Steve’s best friend Bucky take up the Cap mantle instead of Falcon? That seemed like the obvious choice to make.
This of course, but I rationalized it as Bucky and Steve having already had that conversation and Bucky wanting more peace and solitude. He's had a tough life.
