So did Cap actually not take part in any of those earlier movies now? I don’t think I get what that ending means.

He still did. He got the best of both worlds. Most importantly, he got his dance.

Everything happened the same, but we learn that there's another Steve Rogers in the background somewhere the entire time. So Steve's timeline is he wakes up from the ice goes through the movies all the way up to the end of endgame, then he goes back to either the 40s or 50s, whenever that is, and he lives a private life (presumably) as Peggy's husband with another name/identity. And he grows old and goes to give the shield to Falcon.

He doesnt want to change the last 5 years because that could erase his daughters existence.

Yeah, that's great if you're alive. But if you're dead who cares. They should have snapped that shit so a whole bunch of other people's lives didn't get super messed up and they could add in "don't change Tony's daughter."

I thought it was really good, probably an 8 or 8.5 for me. Not as good as Infinity War, but a fitting ending to the Marvel saga.

-Hawkeye once again proves he's the master of subverting expectations. Just like in Age of Ultron I thought for sure he was a goner, yet here we are and he is still alive.

-Captain America is the MVP of the Marvel Universe, and it will suck not having him around. Him using his shield and Mjolnir combo on Thanos was amazing, one of the best moments in all of the movies.

-Fat Thor was hilarious, and I felt like it actually worked. They needed a way to depower him a bit anyway, otherwise he could have just one-shotted 2014 Thanos. I am very much looking forward to him being part of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

-I was worried Captain Marvel was just going to show up, smash Thanos' balls while saying something like 'make me a sandwich bitch' and then scream 'GIRL POWER!!' while nut-shotting both Captain America and Iron Man. Thankfully that didn't happen and her role was kept to a minimum.

-The only scene that made me cringe was the GIRL POWER scene when all the Marvel ladies got together to help with the gauntlet. Felt like pandering and it was absolutely unnecessary as they had just shown Scarlet Witch pretty much demolish Thanos by herself and had Captain Marvel take out Thanos' ship just prior. I really hope this is not a sign of things to come.

-Hulk was disappointing in this movie, couldn't even give him a rematch with Thanos. Whatever though, should be used to it by now I guess.

-So, how did Captain America end up in the 1940's if he delivered all of the stones back to the moment when they were taken? Did he have whitewash Tilda Swenson send him back to that time or something? I figured he just went back to the 70's since they teased him talking to Peggy during his time there, but nope! 1940's it is!

-I loved the callbacks to the older movies, especially the Winter Soldier elevator scene. 'Hail Hydra' hahaha.

That's all I can think of for now. I really enjoyed it and I was worried it was going to pull a Last Jedi and suck total donkey dick.

yeah I'm really confused with this and the second it happened in the movie I was trying to figure it out. if he went back to the past to spend his life with the woman what happened to the cap from the past? did he still get frozen in the ice while future cap was with the woman? two caps coexisting at the same time?

what i liked about hawkeye's scene is when he finally gets the soul stone and he wakes up, he starts crying like a bitch because Natasha died. This is a complete opposite of TLJ wherein the resistance almost gets wiped out but they all celebrate in the ship when they escape.

There were two Caps at the same time. The one on ice and the one living as Peggy's husband. And when Cap wakes up from the ice, old cap is still around. It goes back to one Cap when Cap leaves to return the infinity stones.

that's what I was thinking. that he went back to the past and presumably survived the plane crash. he knew roughly when he would be pulled from the ice and decided to head back to the present once they pulled old cap from the ice.

My girlfriend lost it when Nat died. I was in disbelief. I lost my shit at then end with Tony and Steve. The whole movie was really well done.

Yeah this is a bit weird too. Maybe it is because Falcon has been very loyal to him all this time? For diversity? I don't know lol. All I know is that there's going to be a Bucky + Falcon series so I was thinking that they have a good storyline with Falcon being Cap or something.
I haven't finished all 11 or so pages but thought I'd ask anyway...if Falcon takes up the mantle does he get amped on some derivative of the SS serum or does the movie mention it?

i just read and also posted on another thread that spiderman Far from home will end phase 3. Not sure what that means in the larger scale of things
Doesn't really mean anything if I have to guess. I think it would be like Ant-Man as the last film of Phase Two.

No mention if he'll get the serum or not. It's assumed that he'll still be normal (not enhanced), probably the same with what happened in the comics.

He went back to the past and met up with Peggy. Cap still goes through the plane crash and is frozen. Everything is the same. Cap never goes back to the present with time travel. He just ages into the present. Throughout the entire MCU there's another Cap living in the same world just hanging around.

I was seriously expecting them to turn Fat Thor back into ripped Thor by using the same "failed" Time Travel method they used on Ant Man, seemed like a missed opportunity.

Oh, and when Tony Stark said 'I am Iron Man' at the end my mind immediately went to this instead of the first Iron Man movie. Oops

We don’t know what even happens or why he’s “alive”. Pure speculation. He could even just be a flashback.

I dunno, he has a bit of white hair like mr.fantastic on the pics
Steve is alive and in the 80s.
It's rumored Steve will be brought back using a magical artifact by Maxwell Lord (played by Pedro Pascal)

Since this is the spoiler thread, I'll ask 2 questions:

1. so hulk snaps his fingers, everyone comes back.... so why would stark do another snap?

2. at the funeral, rught before they show the state secretary, there's a teenage boy all alone. Who was that?

3. Captain marvel now captain dike? (Hah)

1. Tony used the snap to wipe out Thanos and his army.

2. That young man was Harley Keener (Ty Simpkins) from Iron Man 3 all grown up now.

3. Uncertain.
