Thinking about it some more, some things I would have changed/added in the movie:

Hulk vs. Prof. Hulk fight. The best thing regular Hulk had going for him was that one time he smashed Loki. But he's really been used to put over other characters. Tony kicks his ass. Thor kicks his ass (until he's shocked). Thanos kicks his ass and turns him into a bitch. So why not let Prof. Hulk get put over by beating up Hulk too?

Make use of Eitri and Shuri. This would have required a change in IW where Eitri comes to Earth too and punts bad guys all over Wakanda and Shuri not being dust or whatever happened to her. But figuring out time travel and making another gauntlet should have required a lot more brain power. And they already set up in BP and IW that Shuri is super smart and Eitri built the original gauntlet.

Make use of the Black Order during the final battle. A lot more localized/small fights during the final battle involving the Black Order duking it out with some heroes would have been great. Put whoever you want together. Scarlet Witch vs. Maw since they have very similar powers. Valkyrie vs Blue lady. I liked them in IW and they're pretty much throw aways in EG. Also, Thanos should have immediately shot at the heroes when they arrived through the portals. Then the sorcerers help protect everybody, Wakandans turn on their shield blanket things, people are scattered. Avengers Assemble.

A whole bunch of different end stuff like who lives and why Thor is doing the things he's doing. But I really wanted a party scene with everyone is hanging out and talking. It was amazing that everyone showed up for the final battle but it would have been great to witness some interactions that probably aren't going to even get a chance to happen again since everybody will be going their own separate ways.

I like and agree with a lot of this.
But, I didn't want to see a Hulk vs Hulk. Super hero movies do that self vs self/version of me way too much as it is. But they definitely should have had Prof Hulk actually fight--either with Thanos or that other big guy from the Black Order.

I also was surprised that they didn't bring Shuri into help with the science. It was established that Wakanda has the best tech on Earth.

Also disappointed that the Black Order didn't get more play time because they were great in IW.
While the overall big battle was great and fun to watch, besides Cap, IM, and Thor vs Thanos, there wasn't really any other fights that stood out--it was just brief moments of good stuff. I would have liked to have seen some extended fights with guys like Spiderman or GotG fighting.
I did like that scene with Black Panther carrying the gauntlet and running it like it was a football.
And Scarlet Witch was a bad ass. That was a cool scene when she had Thanos in her grasp, and he was like 'Rain down fire!' no fucks given about his foot soldiers.

Shuri was one of the ones turned to dust. They show her on a screen of missing people along with everyone else.

One really awesome and genius thing about this movie is that it leaves it open for literally anything to happen. The quantumverse just makes all shit possible.
Ironman can come back, Cap can come back, the stones, even Thanos.

I wonder what the plan is for the next phase. We've been knowing that things were leading up to the Infinity War wayyyyyyyyyyy back when..but now, I have no idea where this story is going, or who even will be around.

I see Prof Hulk and Hulk as two different characters so it wouldn't be the same for me as Steve vs. Steve, which was a meme come to life. It would have been amusing if the Hulkbuster Arm assembled over Prof Hulk's atrophied arm for the final battle and he used the same move on big Black Order guy.

The final battle could have used 20 more minutes. Everything was moving really fast. What showdowns would you have wanted to see with the Black Order?

To me it seems like there will be a slow rebuild, stuff like the Spiderman film and Black Widow as flashback films and maybe that film aiming at the Chinese market probably not touching on the main story much. I'm guessing that the Doc Strange and/or Black Panather films might well become the equivalent to the Captain America sequels, being more Avengers films as those two seem like the natural leaders now.

I wouldn't actually be supprised if we see a bit of a spilt in the MCU, maybe carrying on an earth based larger story but also having a separate "galactic" story with the Guardians, Thor and maybe Captain Marvel(which the latter seems best suited to IMHO) involved plus other characters online those lines.

I think Eternals is going to help set the table for the 2nd era of the MCU and explain the Celestials and also where the stronger races come from. Spider Man Homecoming being released next makes a lot of sense since it'll probably touch on normal people and how things are weird since some people are 5 years older and others aren't. The great thing about the MCU is that all the movies that came before IW/EG tie into IW/EG in some way and IW/EG actually made me want to go back and watch them all again. I trust that for the next era they're going to make everything relevant to whatever the finale point is.

3000/10

I'm destroyed. This movie was incredible. Fuck.

Ah, yes, that's a fair point.
I definitely woulnd't of been mad about a Hulk vs Hulk, but I really wanted him to redeem himself against Thanos.

I actually don't like how they ended up treating the Hulk situation. Hulk and Banner are supposed to be 2 different people, right? How is he just Hulk's body and Banner's mind and personality? Where is Hulk's persona? I would have liked it had they done something like...Hulk was always Banner, he is just some sort of suppressed rage or something.

And definitely could have used more time for the final battle, and I also felt like it went by too fast. I couldn't really enjoy everything because there was so much going on at once, so many characters on screen, and I was looking to see who would or wouldn't come back (Like..was Vision going to make a surprise appearance? Did War Machine get a new suit? Is Antman going to pass out because he stayed big too long?" )

I would have liked a Valkyrie vs Proxima
Black Panther vs Corvus
Hulk vs That big fucker
Ebony Maw vs Dr Strange 2 or Scarlet Witch

Yeah, all they've really talked about is the Eternals, and I just don't know much about their storyline.
I read IW, and knew how the characters, and how that story went, but i have no idea really about what overarching big storyline they'll do with the Eternals.
It seems like the next phase is going to be celestial stuff then.
GoTG 3 has been confirmed with Gunn back directing.
But yea, #InMarveliTrust, im sure everything will be connected in some way or other

Good point. The movies could very well be like the Cap films where they have some interaction with other characters from the Avengers. In the comics, the Scarlett Witch studies with Dr. Strange for a bit, so I could see something happening there.
And I could see Black Panther taking somewhat of a leader role in the Avengers...he is currently the leader in the comics right now, i believe.
It probably would be wise to split some of this stuff...because characters like Captain Marvel just can't do anything on Earth.

watching it again, It plays out kind of like 3 movies.
-The avenging and hopeless aftermath
-Plan for Time travel while interconnecting movies and geting the stones (and loads of fan service)
-Resolving Infinity war and dealing with time travel consequences

Hulk still being a real let down. Seeing him make fun of being his awesome raging past self fell flat when I saw it both times. Also the test time travel scene with scott was kinda bad.
The easy defeat of thanos in the beginning still doesnt sit well with me

Those are the major gripes if you just look over the time travel stuff like I did the 2nd time. Still an awesome movie I need to watch again.

I haven't seen the movie but I read the Wiki synopsis and it says that the Avengers were able to bring back those that were eliminated by the snap. But what about those who died by other means like Vision, Loki and Gamora? Were they also revived or are they still dead?

Very disappointing movie. Not one spectacular action scene, far from powerful action, shitty time travel story (had no clue it would be in the movie, if i would know, i wouldn't watch it in cinema, i have enough of this time travels) no tension, no emotional impact. Really annoying shallow movie. Thor was good tough.

Agree with you, pacing ruined any tension they were trying to build, Thanos felt underwhelming, I never felt he was an actual threat after they killed him.

A lot of funny one liners, pretty much the marvel trademark at this point.

There's also the inconsistencies with Thor Ragnarok establishing that it wasn't his hammer that gave him his powers.

If I could I would give it a 5.5, It had some undeniably cool moments and performances by some of the cast, but its flaws sadly make it disappointing.

i just read and also posted on another thread that spiderman Far from home will end phase 3. Not sure what that means in the larger scale of things

Hulk was under utilized.

That is an understatement. They always under utilize him, but this time was way worse. I didn't think they could screw up the Hulk character worse than Infinity War, they proved me wrong. I admit I'm very biased since I'm a huge Hulk fan, but what they did with his character was completely unacceptable. Professor Hulk in the comics was still a powerhouse. They turned him into a complete chump in this movie. He literally did nothing in the final fight. The least they could have done was a rematch with Thanos. Plus, his healing factor in the comics is as strong if not stronger than Wolverine, but his arm wasn't even healing from the snap. The MCU Hulk just sucks, plain and simple.

Prof Hulk explains that he did lab stuff to fuse Hulk and Banner into one being. It seems like there could have been an entire Hulk movie in the middle of the 5 year in between period since he's also public hero with a degree of fame and likability. It's too bad they didn't make that movie.

So did Cap actually not take part in any of those earlier movies now? I don’t think I get what that ending means.

There should be a petition for MCU to create a longer final battle when the dvd is released. There were a lot of match ups that could have been added:

- strange vs maw part two
- thanos vs hulk part two
- more fights against the children of thanos
- more action from the gotg crew
- thANUS vs ant man

Overall I'd give this movie an 8.5 out of 10.

Infinity War was a 9.5-10 for me. Whereas Infinity War felt very fresh and subverted the MCU formula Endgame is a full on ode to the MCU formula.

I didn't like that Tony died in the end. It seemed like the moments he had in the movie helped to give him perspective on his life and working with others. What's the point of him even wanting to keep the last 5 years if he's just going to die? It would have been great if he survived and then the end scene was all the heroes having a party together with a bunch of fun interactions since they're probably not going to be in the same place again. Instead we got a depressing funeral.

It's also really weird that in the Universe half the population is 5 years younger than they're supposed to be.

He doesnt want to change the last 5 years because that could erase his daughters existence.
