They are not really killing it outside of the MCU. I mean the Russo brothers.

There is plenty of talent out there who could manage it, they just became insular in their thinking.

I quite liked The Grey Man but I thin theres a case the MCU's tone suits them better, they do come from a comedy background of course and I think the humour does help deepen the drama.

They needed Inside Out 2 to work out for them this year. There is far more discourse around Dune and Oppenheimer. They do not really own the cinemas like they used to/ A for profit company took a break from SW movies... It could be a 6 or 7 year break.

Not in the Grey Man in the MCU.

I never assumed that any of the MCU movies would be a deep exploration of the human condition.

If you saw What If, you'd see they stole a Black Widow from a diff universe where their Avengers were wiped out except for her.

I'm curious who's in the Thunderbolts and Avengers rosters.

For Avengers, I'm guessing Cap Marvel, Ms. Marvel, the black woman Cap Marvel from Wandavision, Falcon Cap, Winter Soldier, Shang Chi, Doc Strange, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, She Hulk, Daredevil. Seems like the B or C team.

A lot of those characters are not Avengers (at least, they never had been back when I stopped reading comics).

It's Official: The Russo Bros. to Direct AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY and AVENGERS: SECRET WARS; Robert Downey Jr. Announced as Doctor Doom!

The Russo Bros. confirmed to direct Avengers 5 and 6.

Avengers 5 is titled Avengers: Doomsday. Release date is May 2026.

Avengers 6 is titled Avengers: Secret Wars. Release date is May 2027.

Doctor Doom is the villain for Doomsday and Secret Wars. A green cloaked figure appears on stage and in dramatic fashion, unmasks to reveal Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom (see video below).

The cast of Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four: First Steps will appear in the upcoming Avengers movies.

I think Robert Downey Jr. is playing a Doctor Doom variant from the alternate Fantastic 4 universe. At some point, the team and Doom will probably arrive in the 616 Marvel Universe.
