Chris Hemsworth posted on YouTube a tribute video celebrating Thor's legacy in the MCU.

Hemsworth: "Playing Thor has been one of the greatest honors of my life. For the last 15 years I've held Mjolnir and then Stormbreaker as the God of Thunder, but what made it truly special… was sharing it with all of you. Your passion, your cheers, and your love for this character have meant everything to me. Thank you for making my journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe unforgettable.. Next up, Doomsday!"

Death Flag or they are trying to play the crowd.

We already had a bunch of those. Everyone said the MCU was going to do them right and accurate, I have my doubts now.
Well people have been saying the genre is dead or MCU is dead and then Deadpool 3 came and made big money. We had a bunch of X-Men movie which sucked, and the good ones mostly focused on Wolverine. There's still a lot to explore. I'm still optimistic.

Already been covered in my first post you quoted.

They are having success mix and matching actors and characters like in Spider-man 3, DP3 and to a degree Doctor Strange 2 wich is the 3 more succesful film since endgame. The rest of the films that have not used the multiverse have not perform so hot.

Hemsworth posted it in his YouTube channel and just used an old Love and Thunder promo video. Maybe he is unhappy with his role in Doomsday and this is just his way to get fans support to pressure the filmmakers to beef up his role?

Mixing and matching isn't the issue, it makes the movies feel more interconnected, the problem is overdoing it. Feige has said they'll refocus the movies so they don't require viewers to do "homework". The movies that didn't do well are mostly about characters they've failed to make audiences invested in. X-Men is a massive brand and people have always wondered about crossing over to the MCU. Imo what's important is how they use Doomsday and Secret Wars to transition from the old X-Men to the new ones that will be merged into the MCU.

I read somewhere that Chris is worried about getting dementia due to some genetic predisposition he has for it.
With Doomsday so far away, this seems less like movie hype and more like a goodbye?

they're going the full Avengers and friends with this.

Generating buzz and theories to keep interest. Maybe going with that "nobody is safe" schtick...

...problem with that is they're gonna need to kill some A-list characters or people gonna be pissed.

Pretty sure that most if not all the OG X Men are going to be used as cannon fodder to show just how dangerous Doom is.

Yeah me too, but is that enough? For us old nerds, probably yes, but...

Kids my sons...hell even my daughters age didn't grow up with the OG X-men, they grew up with the Avengers, and even for our generation, bringing back an OG just to kill them is kinda meh....

I don't think it will have the same impact killing a character who has been hardly used in the past 20 years vs someone like Thor, Cap, Wanda or Strange (just picking big current characters)

the only movie i wanted was Ben Affleck's Batman, imho MCU was never that good even if some movies are good entertainment (first batch of origin movies + Antman, GotG1 and i liked Doc Strange).

imho the Raimi's Spiderman trilogy (1 and 2 for the most part) is still the pinnacle of "cinecomics".

He went full disclosure in a reality series called "Limitless" where Peter Attia did a full genetic scan, & Hems has 2 sets of teh dimentia gene. (ApoE4 gene, if I remember correctly) Some people have none, some from one parent, or like Hem, he has 2 sets... one from each parent... putting him at maximal risk) This is long term though, & was presented as a very high possibility for his older age.

They're fighting it using cognative exercises, brain food, & physical exercising helps a lot too etc... one of the more interesting strategies was that he needs to be dropped in teh middle of teh woods where he has no bearings at all, & then try to find his way out. Something about doing that sparks the brain in unique wayz.

That said, (per your theory) it could hit him at any time, but it also can remain dormant & delayed until he'z 80 for all we know. Maybe by then they find a way to keep that gene shut off. "Krisper" is probably leading teh way in manipulating teh epigenome & has possibilities.
