I think it physician assisted suicide should be legal. It's about compassion and personal freedom.
Pretty much.

If you kill yourself, wills go out the door completely and the family isn't eligible to inheritance from my understanding
This.
Are you sure about that?
Maybe a life insurance policy would be voided, but why would inheritance be stopped?
I completely agree people should be allowed to take there on life or have a provision in their will to allow someone else to "pull the plug" or have doctor assistance.
I hate getting police calls to attempted suicides. In my opinion someone wanting to kill themselves is not a public safety concern unless they are gonna jump into traffic or something
If the person really wants to die, why don't they just kill themselves? Never understood that.
A guy that I worked with did that recently. He jumped from an overpass on to a main road. I'm glad that he didn't kill anybody else. He certainly could have. He should have been allowed to die peacefully and safely.
Very interesting.
I don't know if I could live with myself if I did that, but then again I haven't seen the final agonizing stages of cancer, yet.
I work in a teaching hospital. If you guys saw what happens to your loved ones the last weeks or even months of their lives you would be pretty upset. Your grandmother and grandfather are used as pin cushions by the greenest of doctors and medical students. The hospital will try to insert as many lines, drains, and tubes to prolong your life to make their outcomes look better. In addition to that a huge chunk of the Medicine ICU nurses are so desensitized and truly dont give a shit at all.
Yes I am all for assisted suicide.
