LOL, looks you have no concept of how this tracks historically. If 81% positive on OpenCritic is all they can muster from deliberately targeted critics with preview copies, this game is stale slop.

Remember Dragon Age: Veilguard? Member? Member how they threw the full weight of their corporate machine behind the effort to manufacture hype? It averaged 81.4% from pre-release reviews.

I don’t know whether AC Shadows deserves its 100 score but based on what he wrote about Ghost of Tsushima it deserved its 60 score (for him). I loved GoT but it was too easy. I pumped up the difficulty to the highest level and had to either bullishly attack a group without any strategies to die or face the top tier special bosses and even then I hardly struggled. The only boss that I recall struggling was the last side quest boss (after killing all the other challengers). That fucker was a one-hit killer and I had to be perfect the whole way. My score for GoT was 9/10 or maybe even 10/10 but I can easily see someone hammering the difficulty balance of the game. It was way too easy from a fighting perspective hence why I focused on stealth killing everyone. The graphics, the story, and the presentation all helped me ignore the difficulty issues of GoT.


In the end it’s whether you enjoyed the game or not.

Why does it matter though? Republican politicians would blame real world violence on video games and both the left and right would laugh at them together because we know it’s absurd. Japanese politicians aren’t that much different from the GOP. Very conservative and out of touch when it comes to video games. Their opinions don’t mean anything. It’s a video game. Elon Musk said he won’t play GTA because it makes you shoot police officers. Should we all take his side too now? Can’t you see how ridiculous this all is? I like that I can be an asshole in video games and if I want to be a good guy I can do that too. Same with gay relationships. Being straight or gay shouldn’t matter. More options the better.
