Multiplat Assassin’s Creed Shadows

I hear we can play this entirely as the female character without having to use the 6'4 linebacker?

I've only seen gameplay with Yasuke, and it looks basic.

From what I heard there are missions specifically for each but aside from those can main one the rest of the time.

I'm guessing it's about the same as the other games. Choice of two characters with very minor differences in how the game plays out. Only difference here, is that the characters do seem distinctly different in playstyle, so I could also see it being where they switch your character every few missions or so.

Might pick it up on sale when there’s not much else out. That might be a while though as I already have a bunch of games I’m looking forward to playing this year. Am I the only one who would pick Yasuke? I actually hate stealth in video games. Any time I have a choice I just rush in and kill everyone. In Ghost of Tsushima I’d do the same, instead of sneaking in I’d challenge some to a duel and then kill the rest without a care if I alert them or not. I think the only time stealth works is in something like Sekiro where everything can kick your ass and getting some backstabs makes your life way easier

I am the opposite. If there is a chance to stealth kill everyone I will do that. Fighting and killing everyone is the easy way for most games (if not all). Figuring out how to stealth kill everyone in an area is a giant fun puzzle to me. Last of Us 1 and 2, Unchartered, Ghost of Tsushima, etc. I'd reset if I even miss one and trigger the alarm.

Ghat Dayum.... when the internet has an enemy, it comes up with the sickest burns imaginable.

I love brawling it up, testing my skills, but when Stealth is implemented well, and the game design lets you be creative via several ways to carry out missions, stealth is always the most rewarding. This is what I love about Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. it's almost a full blown Imsim overall, but especially with stealth. It always invokes Thief 2 for me when I'm creeping around.

Your clothes can make you quieter, and more camouflaged. You can wait for enemies to go to sleep and kill them in their beds, or just KO them. They generally let you use the open world to find openings, rarely forcing you down a specific path like GTA/RDR2. You can even spike enemy food and take out loads of them at once.

Ghosts of Tsushima doesn't give you as many options, if memory serves me correct, but you can usually use the open world to approach from any angle too. Like you said, they're little puzzles to solve, if you feel like it, and so much fun.

It’s so half assed in most games though because of bad AI and shallow mechanics. But I did get the platinums in uncharted 2 and 4 by doing a lot more stealth. Sometimes on harder difficulty sections the game actually becomes harder by taking everyone on at once

I really don't know what they think delaying it will do. I even find some of the criticism unfair(Gay romance options have been a thing in AC since Odyssey, for instance), but the damage is done. There's no putting that genie back in the bottle. People are not gonna all of sudden forget because it's been delayed a few months. Just put it out there and see what happens. They can't run and hide forever, and they're just burning more money the more they tinker with it, and try to make it something that it isn't. Unless they're willing to just pull the plug and cancel it, there's no real point in delaying the inevitable. They just gotta pray that all the hate is from a loud minority on the internet, and throw it out there. No amount of delays are gonna change what happens on release day.

Yeah I played as Kassandra in Odyssey and you'd better believe I was lezzing it up at every opportunity.

Best game in the franchise imo.

The review is going out in one hour and 30 mins !
