Multiplat Assassin’s Creed Shadows

I already provided the context that he’s ignoring. There’s nothing more to say.

He’s convinced that the PM of Japan is shitting on Assassin’s Creed because you can break a shrine.

The PM said nothing about a video game.

He at least tries to string together coherent thoughts. You do nothing and contribute nothing.
My contention was clearly you are also an idiot incapable of critical thinking. The other poster succinctly articulated how you misinterpreted his post. Your only retort was to resort to insults. You then cry like a baby when people play you at your own game. It's hilarious to see you get butthurt at people both actually and figuratively turning the mirror on yourself whilst trying to pretend you are operating on some higher intellectual plain and not merely just slinging insults at things you don't like. In short "you are an idiot incapable of critical thinking". ;)

Lol, when you give someone actual context and they continue to lie, there is nothing else to say.

No one is playing me at my own game because I’m simply providing the truth behind deliberate attempts at misinformation.

Glad I could at least convince you to type out an attempt at a post. Sorry you fell on your face though.

Stick to the emojis.

Here is the full context of the “hearing.”

A Japanese politician trying to stir up interest in his own failing campaign asked a question about a video game. The response from the PM was directly speaking to real world vandalism not being acceptable. Nothing to do with a video game.

Lie?

You didn't even read the other guys posts refuting your bs or just ignored them as it removed your ability to rage at people

It's funny how you far left nutters get off at having a go at others for doing something and you do the exact same thing to them

How about take a step back and try and understand how you completely misunderstood the point he was making?

Na, you are far too arrogant or dumb to do that. ;)

“(The Prime Minister of Japan) is talking about Assassin’s Creed: Shadows”

This was the lie after he was shown to not be talking about AC:Shadows.

Jesus Christ lol

Great word-of-mouth about Shadows from Japan's PM.

Great job Ubisoft.

The PM didn’t say anything about the video game so no there was no word of mouth from the PM. You’re wrong.

You’re the dumb one cause you didn’t actually read what GearSolidMetal wrote (which was clearly wrong) and what actually happened. Some dog shit tier politician was trying to stir the pot and referenced the video game to vandalism and the PM basically ignored it and just responded about actual real vandalism should be addressed and he will work with others to improve countermeasures. Didn’t mention or referenced the game at all. Why? Most like because it’s not illegal to portray damage or vandalism in a video game in Japan.

So... Other than all this drama what do people actually think of the game? From what I hear playing with the female character fulfills the stealth Ninja fantasy and the game itself is decent. Most reviewers don't care for the other playable character saying it feels forced. Most reviewers don't understand why there is no option to play a male Japanese character. I am still on the fence.I might wait for game pass or a sale

You're splitting hairs.
The question was about the destructive elements of the game in regards to religious shrines of Japan, and the PM responded with -
"I would like to hold thorough discussions with the (Cabinet Members) regarding how to handle this legally but writing graffiti on a shrine is something that is completely unacceptable and I believe is nothing less than an insult to the country. I believe it is natural to be at least have respect for the culture, religion, and other things of the country and if that is not the case then diplomacy is not an option I think we cannot do that. Our country must take the lead in doing so and even if such actions were to be called overtourism. However, if something like this were to happen I believe it is extremely important to send out the message that we will not just sit back and let things slide and that we Japanese citizens will not tolerate this kind of thing happening."

The description of the conversation in the tweet is completely accurate.

Your nitpicking about my framing as saying 'about Shadows' is splitting hairs.

I’ve already posted a breakdown with full context of what happened and what was said. You don’t need to try and spin anything.

His response was not about AC, it was about the suggestion of any real world vandalism occurring to shrines, which he condemns, obviously.

He didn’t tie it to a video game. The loser who brought up the question did and the PM ignored every aspect of it being related to a video game.

This is an absurd conversation and just further desperation to show how offended the Japanese are when clearly they don’t give a fuck about things you can choose to do in a video game.

Give it a fucking rest. The game will succeed or fail on its merits, nothing more.

This is meaningless. This isn't the box office. This is video games. #1 for a AAA on the day of release is a given.

For context, #2 is the self-published horror indie R.E.P.O. which came out over three weeks ago. #3 is Helldivers 2 which came out over a year ago. #4 is the Steam Deck. So...it's outselling games that came out 13 months ago and hardware that came out 3 years ago. Much wow.

79% positive from Steam gamers is as middling for a AAA as an 81 is from the critics, especially for first day buyers. Remember, again, Veilguard was above 80 in this metric on its first day. That score has fallen to 69%, "Mixed", with only 62% in the most recent 30 days.

As with the Veilguard, only time will tell, but the early review scores do not bode well for Ubisoft.

Actually it’s pretty meaningful to counter the ridiculous narrative trying to be pushed that the Japanese are outraged over the game.

The question he was asked was about vandalism of shrines in Shadows would inspire real world vandalism of shrines.

The PM responded that he and Japanese citizens would not tollerate real world vandalism of shrines.

Dizzy - "The question and answer are not related whatsoever!"

Sure bro, whatever you gotta tell yourself, just don't expect us to believe it.

No, it's not. A high sales position (much less an unimpressive #3 sales position) and widespread outrage aren't mutually exclusive truths.

If you’re going to play bloated repetitive crap better off re playing Far Cry Primal. That was the best they have done

Edit: lol at fanboys bragging about their ps5 pro graphics even though the game is certified 29.99 status

Yes it is.

Yes it is.
LMFAO. By this logic there wasn't a widespread outrage among 2nd Amendment advocates in this country to the documentary Bowling for Columbine.

The mind of a child.

I'm predicting that this game sells very well, despite the controversy. The IP is pure money. I think the anti-woke brigade got a little desperate with this one. I'm also seeing reviewers trying so hard to hate it, over elements that have been a staple in the newer titles. Nobody was expecting "Sekiro", or even "GOT". They expected yet another ACRPG, with all the familiar trappings of the games they loved and bought by the handful, with some slight alterations to the formula.

I'm certainly not "woke", and I really don't see any issue with this game, other than the same complaints that have been levied at the previous three games regarding it's overall structure. Worst thing most people are saying about it, is that it's another casual game that becomes a box checking exercise after the first 10 or so hours. Meh. Not everyone wants to get their asses kicked in a game at every turn. Some people just want to lay back, climb some towers and cut some heads off. I'm sure this scratches that itch.
