There's more than one type of eye injury. We already know he has bilateral Brown's syndrome so it is probably a procedure to correct one of the tendons around the eye (see my post earlier in the thread). There are different surgical techniques so I don't know what the surgery would be called without more information.

I feel like that's the most likely scenario. He's spent the last 2 months looking for an eye doctor to corroborate his claims of not being able see until he finally found one that gave in and gave him an extremely vague doctor's note, where it says a whole bunch of wild stuff like broken orbital and browns syndrome but makes it very clear they can't explain his loss of vision. The doctors note doesn't even specify eyes so it's pretty shady to begin with. Now they're just going to give old hypochondriac Tommy some lasik to make him feel better, and it gives Tommy an excuse to say Gane caused him to get surgery. The truth will come out eventually.
