AS said in a interview he is getting new tricks by training Filipino boxing

I thought it was just a regular boxing english boxing style like Pacquiao´s haha

But it seems quite interesting, AS is looking to amaze the world again

Edit: i found i video of AS doing something like that

Not sure on the AS part about him training it, but there are some really slick combos that flow pretty fluidly in this video. For someone with Silva's technique and movement, I could see him being able to pull them off.

lol @ filipino boxing. this is just sloppy boxing with some arm deflections and kicks

Fma brings trapping and flow

To counter, Bisping is picking up Russian Wing Chun

And kickboxing is boxing with kicks. And Muay Thai is boxing with kicks, knees and elbows. And if your aunt had a dick, she'd be your uncle.

I don't know much about the art, but it seems to blend a couple different styles. Interesting in how it uses deflection and momentum to close distance, thereby transitioning to a more versatile attack. The ending with an inside leg dick to destabilize one's opponent to avoid counters is smart as well.

Can't right off any techniques because a person skilled enough to implement them in MMA could easily come along out of nowhere. We thought Karate had no real use in MMA ten years ago, now here we are 2016 raving about it.

Filipino here, who learned boxing in the Philippines and also studied Kali/Escrima/Arnis.

what you see in the video, and someone more knowledgable should correct me, is not "Filipino boxing," it's the modified form of Arnis (also called Kali or Escrima) which is really weapon combat (batons, knives, short swords), the type taught by law enforcement teach. but again it's modified for hand to hand combat--which is actually taught, but I don't believe it's technically called Filipino boxing

Do you not remember the Machida era? Plus anyone who ever followed k-1 knew it has stand up application.

You have no clue at all. There are loads of techniques which you dont find in western boxing.

it's the same martial art that drove off the first wave of Spanish conquerors. Basically we killed Magellan with it when he decided to come on our shores.
