Multiplat Armored Core VI

Looks like a chinese knockoff arena shooter for Gundam fanatics on console.

I just spent a few grand on a new PC. Should have it setup before this drops

There is nothing I’ve seen that’s turned me off from this game. Just keeps looking better and better.
Same. I've got a good feeling about this one and I trust From Software. Every new piece of info on it is reassuring

Some big-picture highlights coming out:

• Game will be 50-60 hours long
• Environments are much larger and more vertical
• Enemies get more aggressive as their health drops
• PC has native 120 FPS support (first ever FromSoft game)
• Ray tracing can be enabled for the "Garage"
• Permanent upgrades can be earned in Arena mode
• OS Upgrades allow you to customize the feel of your mech
• Huge variety of weapons; Armory Stations allow you to change loadout mid-mission

Other people are saying the game is only about 20 hours long. I thought the 50 to 60 figure was a bit much, maybe that's with PvP content or additional playthroughs.

Been watching the long gameplay video, goddamn, it looks like a masterpiece

me getting ready to engage targets in AC6

Totally didn’t realize this is launching this month. Goddamn

Feels like everyone is talking about Baldurs Gate these days and not Armored Core. They release near the same time, who is all sticking with this one instead?

Zero interest in BG.

BG3 for me then after that everything else is being thrown in the backlog. Spending way to much money on games when I have a ton of old stuff I still want to play.

I’m torn and don’t know yet. Remnant II my jam right now but have Blasphemous II preordered for early Sep, so both ACVI and BG3 make for too many journeys. Because AC boasts MP, there’s an argument there (of timeliness) to prioritise that over SP titles, I like to think.

Blasphemous 2 is actually releasing on August 24. I have it on wishlist but probably won’t buy until holiday season or later

Just checked my preorder and you are absolutely right with 22.08 even being my install date. So, even less time for another game, aaayyy.

This second half of 2023 has been too packed. There's no way anyone could keep up that has a job and family. I most likely will miss the rest of the titles dropping this year between Trails into Reverie and getting the plat. Then I'm following that up with BG3. I don't see myself being able to play anything else this year.

Yeah exactly why I’m skipping BG3 in favor of shorter experiences. I can complete 5 other games I’ve been excited about in the time it takes me to do a single playthrough in that. Hard to turn down Spidey 2, armored core 6, Mario wonder , Sonic , and mortal kombat all for one rpg
