Many fighters and people with sport knowledge, ie. Joe Rogan, have indicated that testing is scarce in Russia...at best. Both he and Masvidal have commented multiple times about Russian fighters easily escaping drug testing because they were not settled in the US. During a recent conversation, both Rogan and Masvidal hinted that the Dagestani fighters have this advantage over other fighters who live in America. Obviously not all get away - but most.

Dagestan benefits from the Russian sporting programs. It's not just this primitive goat herding village where men when get strong from wrestling bears, like many MMA fans think.

It's cliche to recommend this documentary at this point but for those who haven't seen it, Icarus is worth a watch on Netflix.

I agree with everything you say. You have to tread lightly because Sherdog is super sensitive about steroid accusations and the Russian Muslim fans are a bit defensive. There is an endless stream of cheating accusations coming from UFC fighters directed at the Russians, some as recently as today....directed at Khamzat. There are pictures of 20 yr. old Islam with deltoid muscles looking as un-natty as I have seen. Life long cheaters....it is almost a joke at this point.
