Not south asians but Moroccans and other Arabs are very into Kickboxing. Does Badr Hari ring any bells? Theres a bunch of other ones in Kickboxing, too many to list. Prince Naseem Hamed in Boxing.

Moroccans, for the most part, aren't Arabs, ethnically. The term "Arab" is mostly a cultural and linguistic one. Ethnically, Moroccans are more Berber than Arab. They're very different, ethnically, from true Arabs (meaning people from Arabia). There's a lot of ethnic diversity among "Arabs": the people of the Fertile Crescent (i.e. Iraq), the Levant, Arabia, and the Maghreb are all descended from ethnically different groups despite falling under the umbrella term "Arab."
