Ariel Moving to the Action Network

Ariel we’ll be fine. If he can break stories he can maintain a following. Espn was awful for mma.

How can they then pay him above what ESPN were?
so they must have paid insanely over the odds to get him given ESPN.

The consensus is that Ariel didn't want to leave ESPN and due to cuts (they layed off a lot of staff last year) they offered him less than what he had been earning.

My guess is that Action Network has a powerful backer behind it and they offered Ariel the same money he had at ESPN for a year or two until it goes bankrupt.

As a lot of posters have said, he should just do his own thing...he doesn't need a sugar daddy.

So from ESPN to:

"The Action Network is the market leader and most trusted source for sports fans, enhancing their betting and entertainment experience through original news, premium insights, betting tools, data and odds.

The company was founded in October 2017, after The Chernin Group (TCG) acquired three well-known businesses in the sports betting and daily fantasy world and combined them into one entity under the Action umbrella"

Ariel :"This was 100% my decision."

Dude got fired...

I dont watch any of these "MMA news" channels, and only know of Ariel what I read here, but am I the only one who recalls the post from less than 2 weeks ago in which he cried on a show because he'd been let go? Then he comes out a week following with some optimistic note about how he chose to move on. Truly pathetic.

IIRC he wanted 500K salary from ESPN.
They said no. (IMO = Fired)
He was crying about the future and had no idea what was going to happen. I recall it as you said.
So he decided to move on to greater things. (IMO = fired)
Which is this betting site.

I dont believe they pays him 500K salary for what ever he is going to do for them.
He moved on because he had too.

It's even possible that they met his desired salary. They clearly have less moving parts in play than a larger company such as ESPN and may choose to make investments in a few key personalities. Of course, that's just a possibility. Either way, good luck to this guy on an unknown network.

Massive lol. If Schmo replaces him, put Ariel on suicide watch.

I guess this is what you get when you refuse to leave your house for 18 months and conduct everything via Skype. Get the fuck out of here demanding 500k.

No idea.
But if you are in media and want to be known, I think a bigger known platform such as ESPN is better than what ever Action Network is. But Ariel gotta do Ariel.

How rad would it be is Ariel got butthurt about this being reported before he got a chance to put it out?
<Rodgers1>

Probably the weasel himself gauging the market response. Using some no body reporter to post for him.
