Why are you sorry though? There's a reason why every "A lister" does it this way, and it's not for the sake of transparency and integrity. It's to get the hardest, most controversial questions out of the way in a safe, pre planned environment. These types of interviews are more PR stunts than anything else. Good on him for protecting his image on this subject in the smartest way he could leading up to a big fight.
