I used to be religious, I used to pray, go to church etc.

I don't know if its me getting a little older, but knowing what we know about the universe etc. I don't believe for a split second that we're the only beings in existence, and if we're not the only beings in existence than that throws religion out the window.
There is far to much evil shit happening, suffering, murder, hate, pain...

I think scientific reasoning would put the position of believing as unreasonable more than the position of being skeptical.

I remember things being generally better when i believed, could just be a correlation with youth though.
