I think better as a follower, although I can lead a small group of people and be competent I feel. lol

But the more the people, the more pressure I feel, the harder it becomes.

So I prefer being a follower.

Middle manager here.

I am at my happiest when working alone and getting shit done.

But I am also good at planning and directing and executing while actively contributing. That part of leading is my forte.

Where my will to live suffers is people management in the past few years because some people are just infuriating with petty complaints and our upper management and HR do not seem to live in reality.

Too general. I'll lead in areas I have expertise and follow for tasks that I don't.
If you see yourself as a leader you should also be able to be a good follower.

Neither. I like being solo. Both at work, and in life. Though I do better when leading since I am hard-headed and stubborn, and that works better in a leadership role than a support role.

I like leading a small crew like I do at work now. I would not want to lead a bunch of people or anything like that. Too political.

Same exact way. Give me the tasks and get out of the way. Of course one has to work up to being able to be let loose without constant supervision. That’s understandable.
