Elections Are we close to an uprising?

There is too much division, so the uprisers will be demonised and the government will receive media support and the moral high ground.

A few protests here and there, some violence, but it'll settle down.

A broken food chain is the best way to kick it off.
And there have been deliberate plays against farmers and ranchers in the last decade. I can give lots of examples but I don't think anyone cares.

But remember that grocery stores only keep about 3 days of food in stock.

The whole right to bear arms/2A argument that its there to stand up against a tyrannical government has not been relevant since what, WW1? No amount of legally available guns and weapons will stand up to a modern military. Any sort of resistance would be wiped out in no time with drones and other unmanned means. I always cringe when 2A nuts make this argument, as if their stash of 5.56 and a few plates is going to do anything.

No. Any sort of "uprising" would be squashed by the military in an afternoon. The military itself would have to lead whatever revolution you're fantasizing about. You don't live in some war torn third world shithole, where anything like that is even remotely possible.

I assume this thread is about the united states.. A few countries have been in the news lately due to youth uprisings with drastic results. It is definitely possible in the U.S. as well but I dont think it is coming any time soon. Americans are so easily divided and easily distracted.

No. There will not be a revolution because your nation is full of brainwashed pacified sheep who are incapable of independent thought. Why does the government let you have guns? Because they know you're too pussified to ever use them, so they throw you a bone so you can pretend you have the power to stop the oppression any time while they oppress the fuck out of you.

Watch the first 3-5 minutes of this video where harsh truths are dropped. You don't even have the words to describe what a revolution is, it's a concept which most Americans can't even conceive.

The idea was to enable the population to have arms in keeping with the standing army, of course they didn't understand how modern warfare would evolve, they did a pretty good job....... besides.....

That is something often mentioned, a majority do not see turning points in history. They come as a surprise to most.

I don't believe there will be a major revolt anytime soon in America. I can remember reading a few times in the past though that this would likely be a turbulent time in America's history. That was attributed to the larger number of youth in the country. As the youth grow older, revolts and revolution are less likely.

Course there are other issues that can cause big problems such as an open border. Democrats open borders bring in lots of people from outside the country, from central America and elsewhere, that do not believe in America's traditional form of government. these people to often have shown a greater support to their native countries government, a country that they fled from, strangely.

To be fair, the US's last civil war led to great things, maybe you need a rematch.

Both sides clearly have no interest in talking it out and working amicably. Might as well just skip all this posturing and pandering and get down to business.

@Roids

Last time I killed....I was deer hunting.......I shot a 4 point buck. He ran off and sat down, knowing he was dying. I shot him in the chest a few more times.

That look..........his eyes. He was asking me "Why are you doing this?"

He was a proud young buck.

I'll never kill like that again, but I won't hesitate to shoot 00 through a door.
Yeah I have no interest in killing an animal. Always ready to rock when it comes to my family.

I'm a hypocritical bastard, though. Two week ago I put a pig's shoulder in a crock pot and made BBQ. The duality of man.

So, Trump's second Presidency?

<{vega}>

We are not close to it right now, but things could really decay in the future with all of this division and extremism in the mainstream. The 2028 election will be a point where things could start to go badly in the wrong direction, but hopefully that won't happen.

I have no qualms about that.

To answer your original post, no. A civil war isn’t possible anymore.

We are closer to the social unrest and violence of the 60s-70s with assassinations and bombings though.

Damn, lot of fiery and valid critiques. Reinforces what I like to say the West's obsession with markets so much so that it has turned society into a market first with a society tacked on second. Fewer and fewer places are what they should be, societies with a market.

The part about the arts and music is very telling - turning it into brain chemistry analysis for what sounds will poke the brain the right way for short term engagement. Now everything is being designed for short-term engagement and no depth.

This goes into human relationships as it becomes harder and harder to find people that are capable of anything resembling sophisticated conversation. And AI Slop may be getting better, but reality is people's communication is also being brought down to AI Slop levels. AI Slop now competing with Human Slop. Which slop will win? What a time to be alive.

Was watching Tom Dillon (a comedian) on DOAC podcast, and he said something so true.... the whole influencer sphere around buying shit like recommending beauty products or wellness pills just needs to disappear and be replaced by AI. It's not because the AI is so great, it's what he said, these are the MOST boring and vapid people imaginable. These are the people the young generations aspires to be. The volunteering of self-lobotomization of the population and people turning into shells of "real" people. These folks, and those that look up to them, cannot and will not change anything in society for the better.
