Movies Are the Terrifier films scary or just torture porn?

Theyre throwbacks to the 80's straight to VHS slasher flicks, not a lot of genuine scares but a lot of brutal murder with awesome practical special effects, no CGI bullshit
I grew up watching those 80's flicks so i enjoyed these very much

They wish they were Killer Klowns from Outer Space

Those Hostel movies always came across as torture porn but I genuinely enjoyed the first one.

Hallows eve is more scare than gore
Terrifier is more gore comedy with some scare
Terrifier 2 is hard-core gore comedy no scare

I liked how hallows and T1 ended But the main chick's in hallows and terrifier 1 are terrible

The main chick in terrifier 2 is easily the best overall in terms of beauty and acting

Are they good? No
Are they worth checking out because it's that time of the year? Yes

Art the clown reminds me of Freddy Kruger for horror villains in only this way, he started out serious like then starts to evolve more into comedy

I enjoy that film, Kow, no doubt about it
Prime Tyson ducked this guy

The original anthology All Hallow's Eve is legit creepy, Terrifier is a mix between creepy and shock value, Terrifier 2 relies more on shock value. 3 (from people who have seen it) seems to be another shock value film.

Wouldn’t categorize as torture porn. Definite gore fest though. I think they’re fun, going to watch Terrifier 3 on Saturday.

I’ve only seen the first one and it was too low budget for me to fully enjoy it. You can tell it was made for $35,000 which is ridiculous when you consider the original Halloween was considered a low budget film and it cost $300,000 to make…in 1978!!! I was down to watch the second one until I saw it was nearly 3 hours long.

I finally saw the first one just last week.

I had seen the “All Hallows Eve” the character is originally from years ago and I thought it was dogshit..so I put off the Terrifier series but watched it on Tubi.

I enjoyed it. It’s not “scary” but movies like this are judged by the creativity of the kills and style points on the gore and props. Similar to the Saw sequels and Hostel. It was impressive in that regard..and Terrifier 2 got a lot more hype so I need to check that out
