There is something called the pessimist fallacy. I think it has been analyzed and they concluded the vast majority of people is pessimist.

Cynics by far. People have lost a lot of hope that they will have a great future. Everyone, everywhere, telling us that the world is trash and coming to an end. It has a bad effect on most people.
