Are liberals really empathetic or do they just want to destroy middle class?

How about a system where if you work, you automatically pay 3.5% payroll tax towards insurance and the employer pays 6.5% which is less than they pay now? No deductible, getting denied coverage, etc...

So even if you're working class poor you're paying into health insurance because it's a necessity, and cut out the middle man, aka insurance companies, who are one of the reasons why insurance is high?

I mean trump keeps saying unemployment rate is low, which means there's not a lot of lowlife freeloaders right?
Thats an interesting idea. I'd have to know the specifics to really make a decision. Would people with children pay more than those without?

That was Bernie's universal healthcare proposition. Should people with lot of children or who go over a certain amount of hospitalization have to pay more? That's a good topic to have here.

Actually Bernies plan wants 2.2% payroll tax but i think that's way too low. Should be higher, and it should be slighty higher depending on how many kids you have and how much you've used it (frequent flyers in hospitals are a drain in society).

But even 3.5% is less than what I pay now and I wouldn't have a 5k deductible.

False, progressive Democrats mainly care about a growing middle class, heck that's their number one issue.

Which is really a key issue I'd say, a lot of the "golden age" that's looked back on post WW2 that the result on a big shift in wealth away from the elite towards the middle class that grew massively, plus indeed a much healthier economy because of it. Ever since the introduction of "trickle down" economics we've seen exactly the reverse take place, social mobility on the decline.

Lol sorry but not enough middle class people will ever vote for that. We’ll vote for private health insurance again and wait for Obamacare to run it’s course

https://news.gallup.com/poll/223031/americans-support-government-run-health-system-edges.aspx

The country is basically split on private run insurance vs universal healthcare. With the trend looking better for universal healthcare, just look at the graph.

We tried private run insurance, and it was a disaster, worse than Obamacare.

They want a better educated public, livable wage, universal healthcare, increase wages, strong unions etc... all of that benefits the middle class not the ultra rich.

look at the the top ten places were economic upward mobility occurs and the top ten worst. What do they have in common?

9/10 are Democrat leaning areas, where upward mobility to middle class and upper middle class occur. And the tenth one is considered the most liberal area of Utah.

What about the worst cities, states for upward mobility and middle class growth? You guessed it 10/10 conservative places.

Come on dude your article is back from 2014!!! That does little to prove your point

why do poor and rich liberals want the middle class to pay for unaffordable healthcare so that poor families get it for free? So basically middle class goes with out unless they work for a government or university job.

Obama care was basically a tax on the middle class and priced them out of having insurance that covers anything while also having to pay 2k/month with 3k deductible.

I for one do not care about other people’s children. It’s their parents responsibility to look after their own and pay their own fucking way
Why did you frame the thread title as a question when you clearly believe Liberals want to destroy the middle-class. Just come out and say it instead of trying to act balanced.

The list is basically the same. Look at pew research center online. The top ten worst are always southern Republican strongholds
