I'd like to ask for a couple of recommendations for some accessories but feel free to talk about anything AR-15 accessory related as well. I was looking at getting a sling for my Colt 6920. I was looking at the Vikings Tactics padded sling and the Magpul MS2. http://www.vikingtactics.com/slings_wide.html http://www.amazon.com/Magpul-MS2-Rifle-Sling-Black/dp/B002B93MCG Does anyone have experience with either? I wanted to also see how it felt to shoot with a vertical grip just for variety. They have a quad rail made by Global Military Gear that is only around 36$ and has good reviews. Is this the kind of item where you get what you pay for or is this a cheap option being that it's not something I'm going to permanently use? http://www.amazon.com/Global-Military-Gear-AR-15-Aluminum/dp/B002PI3IPO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358488849&sr=8-1&keywords=ar15+handguard Or would something like this weaver rail set be sturdy enough?
I like the Angle Fore Grip from Magpul. Magpul makes some good accessories. I find vertical grips uncomfortable personally. Also Surefire makes a good sturdy rail but its expensive.
I don't know about cheaper parts but i could suggest taking a look at these This site is awesome i use them for 90% of ar stuff i buy, low flat rate shipping, great customer service fast shipping helpful etc... http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop%2Fbrowse&category=ar15forearmsystems
I am also a fan of the angled grip as opposed to the vertical grip. Feels more natural and doesn't get hung up on stuf as much. I don't go much for adding al ot of weight to my rifle but I like a grip with a storage compartment. If you go vertical grip in the front they have those also. I keep a spare battery for a red dot and bore snake in mine. I know other people will keep spare parts , pins, rings, etc. If you get the rails a good light is also a nice plus.
Blood Python, I have 2 Viking padded slings I bought from Brownells. I bought the OD Green for my ar15 cause i was going for the complete 2 tone look. I liked it so much I ordered a black padded one just like it to put on my Yugo ak47 (m70). They both workout very nice. They are made with very good quality.
Holy crap that's great. Thanks for the belly laugh. I'm thinking guest appearance on The Walking Dead with that.
What about cases? hard vs. Soft? What kind are those in your thread, RerouteToRemain? I don't need something as hardcore as a Pelican (was looking at the 1750) but I would like to protect my firearms.
Mine is a voodoo tactical. They have quite a few nice options and price isnt that bad. Mine holds 2 rifles, 2 pistols, 6 ar mags, 8 pistol mags. It also has 2 tabs on each zipper and the case came with a lock for each zipper so you can lock every compartment. I like it a lot. Im not a fan of hard cases. I also believe u get what u pay for(within reason) i had a friend buy a $45 double rifle soft case and that shit fell apart pretty quickly. some good cases 5.11 voodoo tactical eagle industries there are a lot more im sure these just off the top of my head
Not gonna do much to my rifle. Only things planned are: single point sling, MagPul RVG, MagPul P Mag coupler, and Aimpoint PRO and magnifier.
I think I'm gonna go with a voodoo one thanks. That price is much better for me. Is this one like you described? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004G8F6N8?in=2&is=300&qid=1358789186&sr=8-3
