Because this is the type of guy whose training style will eventually catch up with him.

I love his warrior spirit and all around intensity but his recklessness holds him back and has already affected him. A loss to Pettis would have snapped his win streak yet he rushed his comeback and even opted to do his own physical therapy. I love his grit but you can be gritty and without being reckless. He could be an even better fighter with a longer career if someone could reel him in a bit. Unfortunately, Eddie Brah isn't the guy to do that.

I'm not saying to change his style or get rid of his tenacity but this is not the type of approach that is sustainable. When he starts losing to fighters that he could have beaten, none of us should be surprised. I'd like to see him get the real belt at some point though.

Would have loved to see him not duck Max

That would have been a fight for the ages but I think he would lose

Tony the type of dude to smack his own ass during sex.

WAR EL CUCUY
Best LW on the planet.

He is who he is. He’s batshit and puts on great fights. Age will catch up to him shortly most likely. His training methods aside.

He is in my top 10 all-time favourite fighters, no question.

It will be a shame that he will never get the credit he deserves. One of the most entertaining fighters of all-time.

He autobanned me on IG for calling him a crazy fucking bastard on one of said training vids

Imagine accusing Tony of all people of ducking someone.

No wonder you're double yellow.

Shame he'll never get to fight kabob or mcnugget

My favorite current fighter. By far. That said, he's 35. Crazy training methods and all that stuff or not, let's not pretend like he has a bunch of prime years left. No "reigning it in" is gonna matter.

The ufc have ruined this guys career. Tony could be one of then most dominant champs ever and they keep.fucking him over.

Thought Nijem was going to beat Tony. Can't say I've ever been overly impressed with Tony Ferguson. But he's a character.

And Tyron Woodley is 36. Reckless training is absolutely a factor in a fighter's longevity and how often they can compete.

That video of him lifting a Hex bar hurt my own back just watching!!!
