Anyone take Xanax?

Don't drink on it. Please avoid using other drugs that cause respiratory depression like opioids and alcohol. Avoid heavy machinery while you take that medication. It can be used for other purposes like sleep disturbance on top of anxiolytic. Most likely due to the limited quality of drug, I think it should be an as needed basis to abort the panic attacks. You can double check the sig on the bottle. It should say as needed or not.

Risk of Dementia in Long-Term Benzodiazepine Users: Evidence from a Meta-Analysis of Observational Studies

This meta-analysis that pooled ten studies has shown that BDZ significantly increases the risk of dementia in the elderly population. The risk is higher in patients taking BDZ with a longer half-life (>20 hours) and for a longer duration (>3 years).

Xanax works the best if you take it with Oxy

.5 mg is the smallest pill they have. You're fine.

If you ever find yourself needing to take two instead of 1, then you need to re-evaluate and ask yourself "Are you experiencing an anxiety attack? Or are you taking them to feel good"

I'm prescribed .5 mg per day for anxiety. It's so small that even if I take for a month straight I can stop and feel no withdrawal or anything.

How'd you feel when you took it? It helped I imagine.

I did them for a long time. Really bad for you if you let them be. .5 aren’t too bad though and they absolutely work for panic attacks.

my only experience with benzos was a 5mg Valium I was given before my vasectomy. it felt weird as fuck and I've never sought out the experience again after that. the closest thing I can put it next to was the feeling of being on ketamine but somehow even less in control of my body

I have a benzo (not xanax) prescription.. It’s extremely similar.. Don’t get dependent on it!

I was addicted to Xanax for years. Abused them (along with opiates as well as other things) until I burned my life to the ground. Xanax in particular lead me to losing literal weeks of my life in black outs. After totaling everything from cars to relationships I eventually got sober.

if you have an addictive nature like I do please use EXTREME caution. I would look for alternative ways to address your issues rather than blindly taking a single docs advice without getting multiple opinions. Or trying alternatives like meditation etc. It all starts with that first script, then slowly it unfolds into pitiful incomprehensible demoralization as the years roll by. Some make it out to the other side while the vast majority succumb to the grips of addiction as their lives circle the toilet bowl. As for the sherbros suggesting drinking on Xanax that is literally playing Russian roulette with your life and is one of the most dangerous combinations there are (even though it is widely popular in todays culture) it causes many deaths annually and I have lost many friends over this specific combination. Be careful sherbros.

Also for those that are unaware there are only 2 detoxes that can kill you. One is alcohol and the other is Benzos. Heroin/Fentanyl detox you may feel like your dying but unless you have extreme underlying issues you can’t actually die from it. Xanax detox is extremely dangerous DO NOT try this yourself and seek professional medically assisted detox.

As always if any sherbros need help with addiction or alcoholism please feel free to reach out to me privately. I am always more than willing to help a friend in need.

yes but they never worked on me. I once ate an entire bottle and didn't feel any different.

I think it was 3mg x 10

I’ve taken them recreationally, to help knock me out on long flights or on the comedown from party drugs when I was a kid. The only people I know who get them prescribed are drug addicts who gamed their doctors, these dudes will trade pills with people who get painkiller prescriptions.

Honestly, a 14 days course taken on a fixed schedule probably won’t do anything to mess you up long term. Just avoid entering into long term use if you can help it. I’ve heard the withdrawals from long term Xanax use can be very harsh.

Xanax is not an opioid its a benzo.
If they help great depends on how bad ur symptoms are dont go against what a doctor says bc some turds on a forum say something else.
I have panic attacks too and theres no natural remedy xanax and others stuff like that can help so much during an attack or prevent them. I personally dont like them they just make me sleepy. You can get addicted to anything.

Enjoy they are great but one of the most addicting and harmful drugs if you abuse it. The withdrawals are some of the worst.

If you have an addictive personality, I wouldn't take them if I were you.
Aren't benzos meant to treat withdrawals?

Stop getting dizzy, stop panicking and start remembering shit and you won't have to take it.

It worked with panic attacks and made me feel happy for a bit, but it made me tired and sleepy. I had 10 hours of good sleep. I don't want to take it again. They gotta figure this shit out and I'm thinking it's got something to do with my vision. I gotta relax my eyes all the time, they get tired so easily when I'm looking at my phone or reading or even just looking at scenery. I have to relax them all the time.

They're supposed to refer me to an opthalmologist, but it's been a week already and nothing. These fuckers are taking their time. 9 months of this is more than I can take already.
