Anyone interested in getting into knife making?

Ok, I got my blanks and I got my printer. I was thinking of something small and simple. I don't know what these types of knives are called, but I've always liked em

Making new handles for old knives and axes is something I've always wanted to take up

Not into making my own knives, but I have my share of very fine works from a bladesmith over in Pakistan. I ordered one of his standard models and I was impressed with the quality, so I asked him if he'd make a few more to my specifications.

My most recent purchase is posted above, a standard kitchen knife set, damascus steel, and the thickness is 1/4" which is far thicker than standard. That gives each piece a proper weight as a battle knife.

Picked them up for $200, shipping included, and I sincerely doubt any custom bladesmith in North America would have made a set like that for anything less than $500. Just a hunch.

Edit : May as well post which Pakistani Bladesmith that made that set. He's - Royalenterprises_4 - on Ebay. He has a long list of knives, swords, axes, and even brass knuckles he offers, and for a respectable additional fee he'll make anything to your specifications. For example the elk bone handles for my knife set were a very respectable $20 for the entire set.
100% satisfied with everything I've ordered from him, and am planning on ordering more in the future.

He made my Thor hammer I posted a while ago.
