I find his fights quite boring and his stand-up techniques quite predictable. The guy's last finish was 7 years ago. Besides that he's just an annoying gatekeeper that will go nowhere and can prevent more exciting fighters to flourish in this division, I was happy that DDP TKOed him. Hey Sara Barillas, we disagree. Robert Whittaker is always fun to watch and sticks to the basics for his stand up techniques. He relies a lot on his jab and blitzes to cross, so it's not that flash and filled with power shots. Still he is fun to watch because his footwork, distance management, and counters come together. You underrated him if you call him a gatekeeper. He was a former champion and contended for the belt for good reason. I think he has a few more years and under the right circumstances could get another title shot, duch as a short notice reolacement or a rematch against DDP.

A gatekeeper is below the contenders, someone like yesterday's Costa or Jack Hermansson.

but then after Izzy beat him he slowly started acting grumpy and salty. Izzy was everything robert could never be.
hell even strickland is a character. robert is just robert.

but all that aside hes just BORING, and BLAND, like even if he wins the title WHO CARES.
like i really was looking forward to seeing Paulo
vs DDP or strickland, and HES HILARIOUS. plus he took izzy's pumps like a man
and was a good sport about it. always respected him after that.
