Anybody here often used the San Francisco Airport (SFO)

I try to aim for a 2 hour window in case of delays etc. Had to sprint through Munich airport to get my connecting flight today, I made it, my bag did not.

Ya, Munich has long connections if you are traveling within Europe and then want to come back to the US.

Did you buy Montreal to Taiwan thru AirCanada and just needed up with the SFO as the best option?

Or did you put together these two legs via Expedia or Orbitz or any other reseller?

If the first then, yes, you are ok as these Star Alliance partners will be communicating and expecting you and the second plane will even be held, for a reasonable amount of time, as they track your flight delays. if they have to leave you, they will absolutely try their best to get you another flight ASAP at no extra cost to you, if the miss is not your fault.

If you bought from a reseller the two legs separately, you have slightly more risk as the second flight might not be aware of you coming on the first flight. As far as they know you live in San Fran and are coming in direct.

What i suggest, if you bought from reseller is call AirCanada and ask them to 'connect your legs' as they will do that. And that can help in numerous ways, as i detail above.

Timing wise you should have enough time regardless.

Stopped there once on the way to the Philippines. Got off the plane and had to rush immediately to the next flight.

Sucked balls considering how long the flights are. I would think 95 minutes would be plenty of time though. I was with my wife, MIL who is basically a cripple and 2 year old daughter.

^ re my post above if you are ever traveling with another person but you buy tickets separately you can and should also call and have them 'connect your itineraries', so it appears on the airline side like you are a family or couple traveling together.

While getting 'bumped' from a full flight does not happen as much any more, they bump single travelers with low priority the most, and won't separate 'connected' travelers making them harder to bump as it is then all or none.

From Montreal to Phnom Penh actually,
bought from the same (FlightHub)

I'd be more worried about flying Air Canada. They forgot the luggage for THE ENTIRE PLANE when i went to Montreal. Had us wait around baggage claim for an hour before telling us and making us take another 2 hours to fill out lost baggage forms. Took 3 days to get it.
only use a carry on,
because they also lost my luggage once.
AirCans are the worst

well as FlightHub is a reseller, personally i would call AirCanada and ask them to connect the flights, if they are not already.

it is very possible your flights are all independent and not linked and you want the second airline looking at their passenger list, and seeing you are on a Star Alliance partner flight so if you are having issues like a delay they will understand what it is and whether they can or should wait for you or not.

I've seen that little airport taxi waiting at the Gate for the first flight to come out of the gate, to race the people to the second flight, that was being held, and they expedited those people thru all check points. It can really make a difference in preventing them locking the plane doors and you running up and hearing 'sorry we cannot open once they are locked and we have done our procedure'.

Just checked everything back,
all from AirCanada only,
actually got 1h39mins
Terminal 1 to Terminal 2.
Shouldn't have anything to worry about.

You'll be fine. Also just walk that, don't bother heading up to the trolly, unless you want a view of the area (can't really see SF from there though) then you should do a full ride
