Anybody here have a favorite serial killer?

Welp.....I guess its a good thing that wasnt my intention then homes. Has it ever occured to you that maybe the life someone close to me , or someone else here for that matter might have been cut short by someone like the pricks you ( maybe the op more than you) admire? What are the optics of this discusion in that light .......huh?

If you're triggered by this sort of discussion, you should avoid it. The onus isn't on everyone else to stop talking about an objectively fascinating subject because someone out there who might see it may have potentially lost someone close to them. Tragic as it may be, shit like this happens every single day. Ignoring it doesn't make that any less true.

Look , your opinion or anyone else with a double digit IQ that finds serial murder /torture worthy of admiration means less than nothing to me, particularly in this setting. You're gonna be an underachieving douche most likely regardless, so anything exchanged here is a wash.

Here come the personal attacks.

I'm partial to Bundy

Gacy is pretty interesting too because he claimed he killed someone for the first time accidentally, discovered he enjoyed it, and became a serial killer. And of course the fact that he was an actual clown adds to the creepiness.

Charlie killed a few people himself as well, probably more that were unknown, Ive always had an interest in the manson family murders because of exactly what youre saying annoys you...the fact that unlike these other people mentioned, his most gruesome work was done by others at his behest

He was linked directly to one murder, that was it. But he wasn't even tried for it, let alone convicted for it.

I recently read Vincent Bugliosi's book on the Manson Family Murders and it's pretty clear these hippie kids constantly off their faces on drugs were pretty much willing to do anything Manson suggested they do.

Who the fuck likes serial killers? I swear Sherdog gets weirder everyday get some help TS.

Ill tell ya the one that I dislike the most is Albert Fish, aka "The Grey Man". Very shitty childhood and very very fucked up man. He mailed at least one letter to the parents of a little girl he killed describing the act in detail. Read the letter if you feel like being chilled and disturbed. Ed Gein and Elizabeth Bathory were interesting too.

What? No...The topic can be kind of interesting, but having a favorite serial killer is kind of weird.
Maybe the most interesting one if more fitting. I like to read a lot of about past killers history

This Ivan Milat guy was pretty interesting. He was an Australian guy who killed hikers in a park usually an kept his house full of there stuff for memory sake. Crazy dude

What?....Serial killers are interesting...You're kidding yourself if you think I'm the only one

One of the weirdest things about most of these guys is that they will admit to all sorts of horrible things, but they're reluctant to admit to certain details out of shame. Like Green River, according to Chasing the Devil by Dave Reichert (excellent quick read), didn't want to talk about certain necrophilia stuff. Or Arthur Shawcross refusing to talk about kids he killed in his hometown. Every interview I've seen has some sort of lying or saving face by these guys, even though lying is pointless and there is no rep to save. The coldest and most honest seemed to be BTK. Check out his guilty plea to his judge, it's like listening to him talk about working on his car. The most reprehensible for me was Bundy, what a weaselly fuck he was. Dahmer I can feel sorry for, because he didn't know what was wrong with him. Ridgeway seems similar in that, a lot of these dudes were just too fucked up and didn't seem to have as much choice in being nuts. Gacy was a lot like Bundy, Manson would call him a Poop Butt.
