I like how people always have to come in and try to take some moral high ground in threads like these, like it isn't human nature to have morbid curiosity about this kind of shit. Like we don't pick and choose the most fucked up stories to watch on the news and focus on for months after they happen. It's perfectly normal to be interested in serial killers and be fascinated by their stories. Who gives a shit if someone thinks one story is better than the others and says it's their favorite? You're not making any kind of a stand by saying murdering innocent people is wrong, you're just being a .



I think Adam Lanza is the most interesting mass murderer. Dude had his windows covered with black garbage bags and then duct taped so that no light could get in. He would obsessively edit the wikipedia pages of other mass murderers to get the details right. Apparently he would only leave to go play DDR by himself for hours at a nearby theater.

Then there's the whole thing with people thinking Sandy Hook was a hoax, that adds another element to it. I obviously don't think that, but it's another layer to the story.



Luis Garavito and Pedro Alonso Lopez are both in contention for the Colombian GOAT serial killer. Lopez got released and Garavito will probably get out as well. Crazy sentencing laws.

Charlie killed a few people himself as well, probably more that were unknown, Ive always had an interest in the manson family murders because of exactly what youre saying annoys you...the fact that unlike these other people mentioned, his most gruesome work was done by others at his behest

He was a brilliant man. Reminds me of Frank Abagnale who have a shit ton of aliases. He would lie his way to the top. He would trick people into putting his name on their will then kill them.

The way he does it is brilliant. He also have an actual motive unlike the other pussys who prey on the weak for no reason. He at least gains something from it. He would also sell their bodies and skeleton for extra money. Guy doesn't waste.

While they were alive, he would sex them up and when he is bored he would kill them for money and sell their corpse for even more money.

I don't have a "favorite" but from watching documentaries I found Iceman to be pretty boring. The one about that weird Asian guy that ate his victims was oddly interesting. He was weird but calm about everything. Richard Ramirez seems the creepiest by far.

My days of fascination with this stuff are well behind me. But back then I took particular interest in the Zodiac and Manson (yeah, I know...). Later though this one came to my attention and if the topic were still of much interest he'd be right up there. Never got caught and also taunted victims and police.

During the time of the EAR attacks in Sacramento, there were several town meetings held, to warn residents about EAR and discuss what can be done to stop him. At one of them, a man got up and said the police must not be telling the truth about the MO of these attacks, because no man would stand by and let his wife be raped, he certainly would not. I really don't think you'd find a stronger correlation between someone who openly talks about how fascinated they are with serial killers being an actual psycho than someone who comes in and tells everyone how sick they are for doing so. That's why with a ton of these cases, people are shocked when it comes out that someone who was seemingly well adjusted (or at least didn't have obvious mental health issues) ends up being a serial killer. Bundy, BTK, Ridgway, Rifkin, Gacy, Dahmer, Nilsen, etc. I'm sure there are countless people out there who no one would ever have suspected that are guilty of murder and haven't been caught because of that very reason.
