Food & Drink Any Tea Drinkers Here?

I can't drink coffee anymore and I do require a minor dose of caffeine in the morning so tea it is, but nothing fancy. I've used throatcoat tea for performances for many years. Dat Slippery elm.

Need to try to get back to drinking green tea more due to antioxidants.

I was never really into tea until recently.

I always drank soda or coffee but after being in countries where tea is more common, tea has become a bigger part of my life.

I just never understood the point of drinking tea because it didn't taste like much and any effect you're looking for would be better sought elsewhere. Years ago, my sister once brought me a bag of English breakfast tea and I thought it was disgusting.
But I realized I just haven't been getting good tea until I went to places where tea is big part of their culture.

I heard in Vietnam that they drink coffee accompanied with some sort of tea. The coffee gives them the initial jolt from the caffeine but the tea levels it out and prevents them from crashing as much.
I've been incorporating this and I haven't felt the crash after drinking coffee recently. Could be a placebo though. Start my morning with a cup of coffee and then slowly drink black tea throughout the day.

I loved that in some countries in the middle east or asia they always give you a cup of tea at a restaurant. In Vietnam they almost always gave me a cup of cold tea at coffee shops.

I drank a lot of black tea in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Green tea in Japan was really nice as well.
It's been a good way to cut back on my soda consumption.

I sometimes drink chamomile in the evening to help me sleep. Ginger, honey, lemon tea is my go-to remedy when I'm sick.

What's your favorite tea?
I drink tea to decrease my coffee consumption. I usually drink Yogi teas since there's actual flavor to most of them.

Yes. Chamomile is part of my pre-bedtime ritual as it helps me sleep. (Twinings usually)

If I'm starting to feel a throat infection or flu coming on I make ginger tea. Fresh ginger boiled for about an hour. Mix in honey and it's great for the throat.

Usually have 2 or 3 black teas a morning, not fussy on the brand but English breakfast is decent.

Don't mind the occasional green tea.

i love tea
puer, tieguanyin and jasmine are my favorites
today I was drinking this one green tea I got in hangzhou that is fermented in a clementine peel
it is very calling and smooth

Yes.

I drink Green Tea every day

Like Coffee, I prefer it cold. I dont got all day to be drinkin shit. I got shit to do.
What kind of green tea?

As for me I like all kinds of tea but the ones I consome rrgularly is black ceylon (the plain one which is consumed from Turkey all the way to Afghanistan), moroccan mint tea and lapsang souchong.

Drinking ginger-turmeric right now. Try it if you want to piss excellence.
Add some black pepper and become a God.

Combining the spice with black pepper may help increase your body's ability to absorb turmeric's beneficial compounds. A substance in black pepper called piperine, when combined with curcumin, has been shown to increase bioavailability by 2000%.

I couldn't survive without tea lol.

My day doesn't start and doesn't end without a big cup of Ceylon tea. Brewed with dried sage leaves (this is a must in my household).

Sometimes I'll throw in thyme or mint (after brewing, straight into the cup) but not always. Def. a bit of brown sugar in there always.

Though the ultimate combo is Ceylon and dried sage brewed, fresh thyme and brown sugar into the cup. This is what I consider heaven.

Fennel tea a few hours after dinner as well - I like the taste and its good for the stomach/digestion.

Outside of that I mix it up from time to time, depending on the mood. Some hot ginger tea, fresh lemons, some honey is perfect for colder days.

Brit reporting in.

English tea with 1.5 sugar and a splash of milk for 11seys.

But I have a cupboard full of tea. I'm into Cinnamon Apple at the moment with the time of year but normally start off with peppermint in the morning because it's refreshing. The kettle hasn't even cooled down before I'm making another.

I do love green tea since I discovered condensing it. I have one of the posh thingies that I put hibiscus in with a lemongrass teabag which is also nice.

I drink a pot of black tea everyday with little bit of milk and no sugar
I use to drink a lot of coffee, but then I started to get bad acid reflux
So I switched to tea and only drink coffee occasionally now
It has to be good quality though, and I hate all the other kinds of tea, like the fruity shit
Except I’ll drink ginger tea sometimes when I’m sick

I am drinking tea now. It isn't as rough on the stomach like coffee. I am simple though. I only use English breakfast tea with a splash of milk.

Once in a while I will get Indian tea from the restaurant. I don't know what is in it but it is really strong and has hints of spices that I am not familiar with. It is very flavorful without any sugar. I bought both powdered and teabag version from Trader Joe's. I was very disappointed.

I love my condensed milk with a tinge of orange.

Earl Grey Moonlight
Earl Grey Bella Luna
Earl Grey Green
Yunnan Jig
Yunnan Gold
Oolong Formosa

This thread reminded me I need to order more, thanks.

As an Englishman, I've drank a lot of tea. It's damn near a couple hour ritual at work.

Coffee has kind of replaced it though, which is a shame.

I like Breakfast Tea and Earl Grey. I do get acid reflux from it however.

I also like Green Tea and Jasmine Tea, but I only partake in it when at a restaurant.

I've also just discovered an addiction to Bubble Milk Tea as of late.

I'm not a fan of fruity teas at all.

Got oretty deep into tea for a few years, but my enthusiasm has fallen off over the past 3 or so years. Still have quite a collection. Our tea cupboard is still oretty full.

Ginseng oolong. Milk oolong. High quality Korean and Japanese green teas are all amazing.

Not a huge fan of black teas or puerh. For me, a basic cuppa with milk n sugar is just as nice as a fancy black tea.

Since I prefer iced tea, real tea is too much trouble. Brewing it, and THEN chilling it too? Fuck that! Just buy Arizona bottled ice tea, particularly the alleged Green Tea version. (I know it ain't real.)
