Any old school EverQuest players here?

I played back in the late 1990's early 2000... somewhere right in there. I played Rallos Zek PvP and was one of the leaders of the Dark Army. We were a bunch of level 16 wizards that owned a few zones with a Root / Nuke surprise attack. We did very well.

EDIT: My highest level is a level 48 Warrior. I also have a 20 Druid, DK, and Ranger. I was able to log in, recover my account and see everything. It appears all my good inventory is gone? Maybe I banked it? I have to figure it out... just playing the controls was weird. But ChatGPT helped me figure out a lot.

Do you guys remember Pansy the Bard that terrorized the desert zone? Hilarious stuff.

Reforged sword of truth,, switched it to the shield and my Pal/Mnk/Rog can melee 4/4 Seru, right through the DS so busted. Will still probably fail on Zeb though, lol.
 
Been watching for news on the lawsuit injunction deadline for today, and haven't seen anything. Hoping to wake up tomorrow to an open server.

Finally took the time to get the Arx Key for Seru and think I totally botched the 4/4 encounter. Came through the maze and went to open the door. Got agro from roaming mob, as I was killing him Seri agroed and came running towards the door. Went in and took him out, but I think it fucked up pulling his guards in because he dropped way easy and didn't drop any augs.

Yeah, he takes awhile just for his 1 mil rune on 4/4 and he has a 100% drop chance

Its not just 100 chance, if you do 4/4 seru solo (none of the shard guys are killed in their temples), he will only drop enchanted or legendary augs, and you will get a minimum of 2, and rarely 3.

I have 5 chars farming 4/4, easily... I have 0 chars who can do easy zeb. I have no f'ing clue how people beat that as my best char has over 3000 AA's, maxed shielding, Zeb Shield, Signet of Might earring, Lego block aug and over 3500ac, dont think ive even got him to 50% and it seriously pisses me off.

So when they talk 4/4 and guards, it's not the guards in the room but the temple shard guys? Makes sense he went down so easy since they were all dead to get the key.

Yeah he was a menace on Sullon.

PVP server is still going. But it's just 1 PVE guild getting ganked by duoing pvpers. Burst dmg is insane.

Fansy was hilarious. The Dark Army used to be pretty fun too. We had some good times and would run some zones.

I may check out PVP again... go in naked to figure out where I could fit in.

I found my accounts and got it working... Greater Faydark (noob zone) was empty... just me. I may take my druid and port around to see if I can find anyone playing.

4/4 specifically refers to the 4 temple guys (ex Maltpa the gnome), each one left up gives him a buff (maltpa gives a damage shield), will spawn randomly at a certain percentage of life during the fight (80, 60, 50, 40, these ones can be killed) and each one left up when engaging gives a 250k Rune at 30%.

The 4 door guards are just trash mobs. If you kill all 4 of the shard guys, he won't drop any augs, just his normal loot. 1-3 left up will drop 1-2 augs, mostly base, leaving all 4 up is the "hardmode" and will drop 2-3 enchanted or above.

Another thing that affects his difficulty (but not his loot) is what sword he has equipped. If he has a white sword, he's will drop a Bloodied Berzerkers Blade and will be a lot easier. Black Sword means he's using Sword of Truth and will hit much harder.
 
How to you trigger "Zeb Lite". Watched a few videos on the fight, went in after taking out Quarm. Talk to the lady and spawned Zeb. Went in guns blazing trying to get a feel for his dmg output and ability to heal before I hit burned my disc. Then got a ton of Raid adds and was quickly smashed. Not sure who showed up but certainly saw Naggy, Vox, and Greig before I was steamrolled. Guessing that was hard mode.
