Any old school EverQuest players here?

On the bright side even if it gets shut down I just managed to do something I was real close to finishing but never did 24 years ago: finished my SK Epic.
 
Just wrapped up PoEb, man, what a huge pain in the ass the council of rathe was. Hope to never do that again. Took almost 2 hours of trial and error on splitting to finally get them down. Went in the first time to the group of yellows thinking it would be a quick fight, and it was, just on the receiving end. They are through my pets faster than I could even mount any sort of offense. By the time I even registered I was in trouble, they were already dead.

Then tried combos of, lull, charm, snaring, to split with terrible results before it was suggested to use fading memories. Honestly forgot I even had the skill since I never needed to use it. Strat sounded easy to split, but was still a slow pain in the ass to take them down. 2 of the council was manageable for the pets, and a 3rd would just overwhelm my healing.

All done though, so now just need to make up the keys and will dabble in Time before the likely shutdown.

Fading memories is one of the best skills in the game for pulling. Also they can be rooted.

Never really had a need up until the. Up until that point the pets could pretty much tank anything so really had no need to split.

Finished all they key stuff for time. One last play session tomorrow to mess around in PoT. Not expecting to take out the bosses, but may grind out some AA and stock a little cash just in case we stay alive.

I abused the hell out of it to skip to bosses, RC was he first time I did any sort of CC, lol
 
Had all his friends dead and was about to kill 4/4 seru, and disconnected. I seriously hate that fight it takes forever
 
Hopefully not the last day, finished Mage epic and made a Mage/BL/Ranger. Epic pet + symbol is level 65 and level 8 BL warder is level 60. Both pets were geared up to hell too and it was like getting PL'ed by some OP friends, lol.

When I was in the 30's I maxed headshot AA (up to level 62 mobs) maxed pet flurry and just went straight to DN rat caves. The char hasn't came remotely close to dying and is up to 61 now. Lol.
 
Sounds like the judge didn't grant the injunction, but taking the motion under submission.


So it sounds like we get a stay of execution for the time being. Glad I get some more time. Got my alt war/MNK/pal to a spot rack up some AA swarming in DN. A little more cool down reliant, but really no downtime waiting for cool downs than just waiting for mobs to pop.
 
Them not being shut down immediately gives mild hope. I've already stopped, but if they win, I'm all in again.
 
Made a second account to trader/buffbot, really wish I had done this sooner I made like 200k off of random nonsense rotting in my bank, lol.

Second account is War/Cler/Ench, unlocked up to velious and at 56 farming AA in DN for the push through to PoP. I knew you can get banned for dual boxing but I wonder if they would even know considering I have two different ISP services (Cox and Centrury link) and could have the second playing on my Rog Ally X. (Not saying I will do that, but I wonder if it would get caught, lol)

Been wanting to start a second account for the same merchant and buff bot. Been wanting to wait to see how the lawsuit shakes out before I start investing time in another character. Just want to rush to to 65, no real AA investment other than some key skills to level up so I can gather up spells.

I really regret not doing it sooner, ive made a few 100k in a few days and all my chars have powered up bigtime.

Been farming Elemental gods every repop and got 2 crucibles (400k), Seru is still a problem though, on one of my chars (Rog/Pal/Mnk) I just steam roll him easily. On the others I fail almost every time.

Haven't tried Zeb for a bit but if my Crucible sells I'll probably steamroll time with my pal/rog/mnk who seems to be my strongest char and try him again. I can SoS and clear every boss in Plane of Water in like 20 minutes, even started farming Xegony because you only have to kill the 9 mobs guarding her and can skip everything else, lol, I can practically just disc and kill her before her adds get me, lol.

Have only ran through the elemental planes once and stuck most of the stuff in the bank since I wasn't sure if any of it was needed for later.

What are the Crucibles? May be sitting on a few. My War/MNK/PAL is just about 65 and getting ready to do the elemental planes to see how he stacks up at bossing compared to my BRD. Be nice to know exactly what to keep out of the vendor trash bags.

Crucible of the elements. They are like 2% drop from the Elemental gods only.

Its a container used to combine all the legendary Kerafyrm augs into the special one (zeb drops the container for all the legendary seru augs to make the sword of truth reforged)

Also, Seru 4/4 down on a second char, that fight is so stressful lol I ran outta mana but my mage pet came in clutch and survived, lol. Literally everything in the game is trivial as hell now except Zeb and Seru, who are both miles harder than everything else.

I'll have to check my inventory, don't think I got any containers. It's been a while since I socked it all away since I spent a bunch of time on my alt.
