The first game feels the most dated but it more than makes up for it with it's story, characters and dialogue.I had this game for a long time but I never played it. I booted it up yesterday and played a little of legendary edition ME1. It feels a bit dated and the shooting is a bit clunky.

Leagues better, 2 is a huge step up. 3 is a solid upgrade from 2 but not as drastic. The other 2 games get better? In terms of gameplay
Awesome I will try to run through the first one fast. I just finished the prologue.Leagues better, 2 is a huge step up. 3 is a solid upgrade from 2 but not as drastic.
Take your time imo, the story is worth itAwesome I will try to run through the first one fast. I just finished the prologue.
The gameplay of the first game sucks. Hell, it did when it originally came out. They hadn't figured out how to blend shooter and RPG yet. But it's a necessary playthrough, it's got a lot of story and world building. Definitely pick a biotic character, it's more fun that way.I had this game for a long time but I never played it. Yes. I ran into game breaking bugs most likely caused by the 3rd party mods I installed. I really thought I could have my cake and eat it too.
What is currently happening in the main story for you? What have you done so far?Is the game supposed to be short? I played a few main missions in ME1 and it seemed like I am at the end of the game. I have tons of side missions that I didn't even try though.
I killed this matriarch, saved her daughter and kill some plant monster. I think it's race against time now? It seems like I am nearing the end of the game because I can max out certain stats now. I still haven't bought any items. What is currently happening in the main story for you? What have you done so far?
Do the side missions though, there will be characters you can meet again in the next 2 games depending on the choices you made in the first game.
I think my original run topped out at 40 hours, and that was with doing all the side missions and exploring every section fully. So yeah, it could be considered a bit short from the standard 60+ hour RPG. It could probably be beaten in under 30 hours, if you just ran through the campaign. Is the game supposed to be short? I do have tons of side quests that I didn't even crack yet.
First time I played ME1 I beat it in 15-ish hours, but I didn't do many sidequests and only spoke to two characters in-between missions. Is the game supposed to be short?

I uninstalled everything and did a wipe on my computer because I was pissed.
BG3 keeps calling me.
Yes, all is not lost and I will go back. Will you be able to still use your ME2 save for the beginning of ME3?
I bought the pack with all the ME games and I couldn't make it thru the first city. You had to walk around and talk to people. It was kinda like a tutorial to get you around the city. I gave up there. Too complicated. I felt lost and didn't know what to do, plus the layout of the city made no sense.Game is old and kinda clunky but I like it. I got the legendary edition a while back and I want to play through it.
I'm about 30 hours in and I feel like I don't really know how to play the game. I don't really understand how to use the powers in combat especially concerning my squad mates.
I installed a bunch of mods that seem to be the agreed upon as the best way to play the game.
