Gintama is one of those rare animes(I never read the manga)where the fillers are actually better than the arcs/plot.

Nope.

Hmm, wha? Actual insight? Oh, ok. So, it has an interesting enough concept. But the characters are flat and the plotting is rudimentary. It is, after all, written by the Michael Bay of manga.

Damn JBS the Michael Bay of Manga...rough..though out of all his works the only thing I've enjoyed was Helling, he's more like a one hit wonder in my book. But agreed on your Drifters statement good concept terrible execution.

I don't know who here keeps up on One punch man but I've enjoyed this tournament arc quite a bit, mostly cause the art and humor has been top notch.

I just saw that Gundam Wing is getting an bluray release in the US. I haven't watched the show in probably ~12 years at this point but still have the old-school DVD boxed set kicking around somewhere. Might have to dig them out and see how well the series has aged.

Yes. I can't remember another series that I wanted to rewatch aside from Gintama. Maybe Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

It will be interesting, Big Mom was going to betray Germa and probably has a history of betrayals herself and Capone seems like a snake as well , Luffy once teamed up with Crocodile so wouldn't put it past Luffy to make an alliance but Jinbe's description made Capone seem more hateful.

I'm the opposite. The fillers slow me down. It could be because I'm not a huge anime/manga fan so I don't get most of the parody in the shows. So far when the fighting arcs show up I get more excited. I'm only on episode 64 though. I've slowed down big time over the past couple of weeks. I've watched only a few episodes during that timeframe.

I read the first chapter, it's by the guy who wrote eyeshield 21 and that was fairly decent, it'll be interesting to see where these next few chapters go. feel like this is one of those mangas either it''' have to good early or just be mediocre entirely.

I've felt that way since Ippo lost his last fight to that Mexican guy, can't recall his name but this whole "oh crap is Ippo punch drunk" story arc just feels like he did that just to try to find a way to continue the story.
