Comparing One Piece to Twilight or the walking dead. I'm at a loss.

It's a pretty straight forward point: having good sales doesn't make something great.

One Piece has been around forever and has a very broad fanbase. The one episode I managed to get through started with a 5-7 minute recap before even getting to the theme song. Characters look ridiculous- the main dude looks like an 8 year girl transitioning into a boy. The animal-people look absolutely retarded as well. Magi Adventures of Sinbad is much better if you want some seafaring action-adventure story.

I started watching it after having back surgery I had time off from work so started to binge watch from episode 1 up to the fishman island arc and have been watching it normally since. I have no ideal how Oda does it but he ties it all together even with minor characters like Coby. I understand ppl not liking the way Oda draws it and not wanting to read the manga or watch the anime but the story alone is a reason to give it a chance.

I get a laugh out of every new Baam encounter with a high ranker or floor admin. They always go from "Who the fuck is this jovial looking kid?" to "Who the fuck is this monster?!"

Ippo will fight Ricardo in a wheelchair at this pace. The whole is Ippo "broken" plot line is geting played out. He need to perfect his new move and start knocking off contenders. He's top ten in the world and gave Gonzales all he could handle.

Ippo is world class and just needs to get his confidence back.
