Thoughts? I've not bothered to read Fairy Tail so I have no direct context or knowledge about Erza except that she's apparently the series resident Deus Ex Machina or something like that.
 
Weird match up. there's plenty of more "pure" swordsman characters that they could go for vs Zoro. Ezra swordsmanship is based a lot around armor/magical augmentation. Not saying Zoro's abilities aren't bullshit but Ezra's are even more bullshit.

Feel the same way and I think they did it since both series are rather similar and are the current Big Shonen's. They did a 1 Minute Melee of Zoro vs Kenshin that was quite good albeit those aren't based off of any research and are just cool fights with the winner based on either popularity of coin flip probably. the bolded is my biggest issue. Ezra's abilities are just so Deus Ex Machina. Now people will bring up stuff like Zoro's cutting steel with the Lion Song, Phoenix Cannon(Phoenix of Earthly Desires) ranged attack, and his Asura attack, but those actually make some sense for his characterization Zoro is obviously not religious, but he always seems to have a philosophical or spiritual warrior air about him hence some of his attacks being made seemingly coming from having epiphanies of sorts. Who'd you have picked for this match up?

I think Zoro could win. Ezra is strong but not like she's a god in the FT world and able to destroy cities in one blow like some of the characters. Time skip Zoro and even to an extent pre-time skip Zoro was able to kick out some serious AOE and I know they are both fictional characters but I would call Zoro the better sword fighter between the two.

Now if there was a sword death battle I'd like to see it'd be Bradly (FMA) vs Zoro.
 
Loving iron-blooded orphans. It's like a slow burn. It's not as in your face compared to others but I quite enjoy the political/war themes. Episode 33 couldn't come fast enough.
 
Amazingly good chapter of One Piece today. Jesus that new commanders power is creepy as fuck and we finally get a good explanation about the Poneglyphs. Don't want to spoil so I'll talk more when everyone else is caught up.
 
Pretty good One Piece chapter. At least my fears of Luffy crushing that entire army didn't come to pass. 932,000,000 beri bounty for this new character that was introduced is pretty crazy.

Agree on all counts. I like that he at least went out on his shield. The way that new chick got introduced was fucking creepy as all fuck and I was way interested in the Poneglyph information.
 
I think bounties are getting massively out of control by next arc we'll be having people with 3 or 5 billion+ bounties, they are being used too much as power level these days and are jumping up too rapidly.

Yeah I'm kind of not liking that too much either. Like, these guys are underlings to the Yonko and billion or near billion bounties. What kinds of bounties do the Yonko have? And what of characters like the Shichibukai, some like Crocodile and Hancock who has lower bounties in the under 100 million range, but we're still seem as big players.
 
Watched episode 19 of Bungou stray dogs. A character named Lovecraft was introduced. I was wondering why Lovecraft? Welp, tentacles began sprouting out of his arms. LOL! I was expecting screams of "yamete, oniichan!".

I didn't notice my first time through that she was ringing juice from that body. She's a fuckin' giant too.

That hasn't really bothered me. These people do control an entire ocean there's bound to be some monsters among them. Luffy's is 500, I think, and he's been a pirate for like 4 years, two of which he was on an island training. People like Shanks, and presumably the other Yonkou, have been pirates almost as long, if not longer, as Luffy has been alive and it stands to reason that they've fucked with the Marines/World Government a few times during that life.

True. To fix, Luffy and his crew have only been together for 2 years although people like Brook, Nami, Robin, Franky, and possibly Zoro and Sanji have been experienced in some form of less than legal involvement. Also, I'm trying to find an animated video that's been shared here a few times(usually by me). It was of a samurai looking girl fighting a one-eyed giant creature and befriending him by planting a flower on it's head.

Edit: As usual I found the thing on my not long after asking about it on here due to my OCD. Reason I always ask is the horrific idea that I could be losing fragments of my memory which often terrifies me. For those not in the know, enjoy.

they'll all be back. I mean I'd be pretty shocked if Meat, Alice and Mad dog just vanish from the series. though I wouldn't be exactly upset if the cast got trimmed down a bit. I've never cared for the closet homosexual buddies from Polar Star...
