Anime and Manga v37

Least favorite manga: tragedy, followed by slice-of-life (with the school-life subgenre being a particular dislike). I read as a form of escapism. My own life is both mundane and shitty, I don't need to read about fictional characters with mundane or shitty lives. Also, while I don't actually dislike comedy, I rarely find comedy focused series to be consistently funny.

Wow you just have really busy life if can't sit down for just 30 minutes to watch a anime so do you not watch tv shows or movies

To clarify: it's not that it takes too much time to fit into my schedule, it's that it takes too much time compared to reading a manga of the same series. This is especially true of a shonen, where a 22 minute episode can cover as little as a single chapter which can be read in a fifth of the time. And I usually don't think animation/voices/music/effects bring enough extra to the table to make the significantly longer time investment worth it.

This is kind of why I've shifted more towards manga myself.
 
Can anyone recommend any thieving animes along the lines of Cat's eye or Mouse? Been getting into the gentlemen thief genre lately, and want to see more. Especially with harem or female leads.

Interesting take. For me I have always been a huge fan of animation as an artform, so I'm much more likely to watch something whose subject matter wouldn't necessarily interest me to read alone.

I still buy graphic novels but the last manga I purchased was Monster #1 and 2 way back before it went out of print.

Magic Kaitou, Lupin the 3rd, and while it's not gentleman thief, Detective Conan is most likely the best detective manga out there along with Kindaichi Case File to my knowledge. Word to the wise, Detective Conan while very good is VERY long and can be VERY slow at times. Seriously, it DWARFS One Piece, Naruto, Fairy Tail, Bleach and other similar long-runners and rivals Hajime no Ipoo in length(and sometimes slow progression of main plot).

Edit: I think DN Angel is also a Gentleman Thief manga as well. There are several other like Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Zodiac PI, and Kaitou Saint Tail, but I don't think those are the ones you might be looking for since they're also shoujo. Still very good manga though.

Speaking of Berserk, if this new anime can finally give me Gatts/Zodd on the Hill of Swords I will forgive all the wrong it does between now and then. I need that in my life.
 
One of my favorite Anime/ Manga is called Initial D.

Initial D is mostly awesome. It's too bad the official english manga is complete garbage. Also, the manga itself drags its ass towards the end and has a really unsatisfying ending.

This post may have been premature. I just watched the third episode and it was a bit of a travesty.
 
I somehow managed to avoid paying duty on the Garden of Sinners collection.

It wouldn't be golden arc becasue the 3 movies covered all of the Golden Age (with some details skipped). The 2016 Anime is a direct continuation (also with some details skipped).

Vinsmoke Judge is strong however he seems heartless to his men. Sanji is a lot stronger than he was 2 years ago so it's tough to gauge since I assume he is slightly behind Zoro and Luffy . Interesting that his Name Sanji is a play off of the fact he is one of 4 quadruplets and he is apparently the 3rd but grew up the weakest and also the one with the most compassion. His dad is pretty despicable putting bombs on his wrists. I wonder if Dragon was a rival of Vinsmoke at one point with Vinsmoke being an oppressing Royal and Dragon famous for toppling governments.

Good question about the Dragon connection and HOLY SHIT is his dad a cruel as all hell dude. Really not what I was expecting. Ditto fro them all being quadruplets. I'm now more curious about Sanji's mom than anything else and where she fits into all this. Not sure if he's still the weakest though and I'd like to see how Sanji is with a sword based on what Judge said.
