ok the best example i can give you of controlled opposition would be Trump's presidential run. You had people thinking he was gonna take down the shadow government and the whole qanon thing (i still have no idea wtf that even means) like he was some big bad about to put power back into the hands of the people when in reality he runs with the same nefarious circles as all the other elites do.
