Media Anderson Silva or MVP…. Who has better striking?

Ironic you're defending MVP with that claim. He has some boring fights and lots of lulls trying to impose his style as well.

As for Anderson, I believe he finished like 11 out of 13 opponents in title defenses. The fact people bring up the few fights he decided to clown around isn't indicative of most of his fights.
Anderson deliberately fought as shitty as possible (and not really fighting at all in at least one fight). MVP has never done that. Nobody else has ever done that in MMA.

48-year old Silva lost to a HW sized boxer half his age who's done nothing but train in boxing full time the last 6 years.
That's my point. I wasn't saying that because their fight should be assessed by the result.
Meanwhile MVP lost to Mike Perry who was only a couple of year younger, lol.
Did you watch the fight? Perry won a decision and I thought MVP had done enough to take it with his style.

Aren't we saying the same thing?
Pretty close probably, key difference being my point is agnostic as to why he fought the way he did or whether he was trying or not. I’m also not necessarily agreeing they were terrible fights but that they were judged as such because of what we had already seen from him. Had someone else put on those fights fans likely wouldn’t have felt the same way about them.

What? The guy literally caved someone's skull in.
I love how your only reference of his finishing ability is from 10 years ago against a can. Sounds like a real finisher.

Maybe next someone will compare Belal Muhammad to Dan Henderson because Balal finished Sean Brady.

The time is irrelevant; I was highlighting the stupidity of your argument when he has one of the most brutal finishes in MMA history. You're falsely claiming he has no real finishing ability when the fact is MVP has double the amount of finishes than he does decisions.

Anderson is the number 1 over everyone by a wide margin when it comes to MMA striking.

Honestly MVP, Izzy, Poatan and possibly even Shara would have been problematic fights for Anderson. He was the better overall fighter than all of them of course and several of the guys he beat could beat those guys, but i'm talking about the stylistic match up. He was a slick dynamic technical striker in a division completely devoid of them.

Silva is so overrated
Got KO'd by some half ass punch in his prime lmao

MVP has 13 (T)KOs on his record. Saying b has no finishing power is kind of wild.

Can’t fix stupid dude. Let it go.

silly question

mvp has good movement, long reach and good reflexes but his striking technique is basic as hell

anderson had everything he has but better, coupled with genius creativity and the best striking technique ever for mma, never mind the finishing instinct and power

mvp is a second rate version of a guy who was already a second rate silva(izzy)

michael is andy at 25% power
