Ancient Native American burial site blasted for Trump border wall construction

Better not try to get over the wall there, then.

The cult of Trump will applaud this just like his trillion dollar deficit. He can do no wrong.

The wall the will be cursed for sure thanks Trump

That'd be like a horror movie where the guy and his wife find out the house they're having built is haunted, so they decide not to build on that lot.

What a waste of historical sites and taxpayer money
I never thought a drug addicted obese man would be championed so hard by so many stupid Americans but I guess he truly is a reflection of current white America.
If that's a shot at me, I ain't even white loser.
You sound racist as fuck. Well, that or you're one of those self hater types.
Either way, you suck bro......lol

fuck their burial site. the present and future is more important than the past.

you're not American. you don't know what it means to be American. you don't understand why this is controversial.

I get why it's controversial. I just don't care.

I am American and I don't give a flying fuck about it. It's a small strip of land and you can clearly see the cacti on both sides of the strip in the pictures. They're not leveling or destroying hills, and they're only blasting so they can get through the hard clay to dig deep enough for good foundation. Also, according to some other articles I read on this, the hill is a supposed burial site of Apache who were killed in combat by the other tribe there. It's not like it was their burial site but instead the burial site of enemy combatants. As far as I understand there is no clear evidence that there are indeed Apache buried on the hill...so could just be a stall tactic. Again, this is as I understand since I can't find any evidence outside of the tribes claims at this time.

People really need to tone down the "outrage porn." Nobody really cares about this at all, and instead it's just another "Orange Man Bad" situation because the media finally decided to let you guys know about it. It's a very thin strip of land that's being altered to build the wall; they're not destroying an entire eco-system, they're not wiping out entire species's of cacti, they're building a wall and that's it.

What a little insignificant person you are, I can tell you come from a long line of nobodies

"Since 1976, the 516-square-mile park — home to more than two dozen unique species of cactus and countless varieties of wildlife — has been recognized as a UNESCO ecological preserve worth conserving."

Cactus and wildlife families can't be split up by a wall. Yo. o_O
We will now have Mexican cactus and American cactus, Mexican wildlife and American wildlife...

why do so many people get their knickers in a knot over what forum a thread gets posted in.....does it really affect your day that much??? can you all not function if everything in your lives is not meticulously laid out for you? lol I dont get it.....

its a touchy subject IMO....no one wants to destroy or fuck with something like this....yet the border wall is getting built ....they cant stretch it further south because thats mexico....they cant pull it back because then this site is effectively mexican....theres no real way around it....the southern border is a massive problem...has been for decades and only grows worse with each passing year....the only way to choke off the majority of that is with the wall

the only people that argue against its construction seem to be those that are completely spellbound by the left hand puppetshow, logic dictates when you have a problem controlling who is trespassing into your yard...you build a fence....its not going to stop people that are extraordinarily motivated to trespass into your yard....they could go over the fence, under it, through it etc etc.....but its going to dissuade a very large number of would be trespassers and then hopefully...secondary measures pick up the more motivated ones.

that's fine, that's your right as an American to feel that way. Oeshon always exhibits this anti-American sentiment/profound ignorance & my point is to highlight that.

...they are killing the cactus! Hundreds of years old. :(

"Photos from yesterday of #BorderWall construction in Organ Pipe Cactus NM and the heartbreaking graveyard that’s being left in its tracks. New 30ft wall now stretches almost completely from the base of Monument Hill to just 9 miles east of Quitobaquito Springs."
