Americans: why is CM Punk famous?

He’s great in the ring, great on the mic, dude was peak phenom with a title defense streak that was pretty wild.

He’s definitely one of the best of his era.

Lol he doesn’t have a good body? It’s wrestling ffs

Lol go check on your kids they might be in the middle of a school shooting. While you're at it go check on your wife.. Oh, i forgot that you cucks actually like when your girls cheat on you. See ya.

I don't recall the wife cheating thing being an American stereotype, but reach for whatever you can. You people act like being too afraid of your own hands to trust yourselves with guns makes you more civilized. Here's an example, to show you how ridiculous that mindset is: If you're religiously celibate, you shouldn't need to isolate yourself to keep from being tempted by women, you should be able to turn down just about any girl at just about any time; the same principle applies to gun ownership. If you're scared of getting shot, learn how to shoot; If you're scared of getting your ass kicked, learn how to kick ass.

AWWWW did I hurt your feelings? You poor Italian thing. Maybe, before we existed, your country had some importance, but for the past 100+ years we've had the power to erase your country from the map. You remind me of those boxers from shithole countries like Puerto Rico or the Thailand who have a huge pride in their heritage and wear their flag in spite of the fact that they come to America and America is where they strike it rich and live their dream, while their countries government didn't offer them 1/4th of what America has. We could treat your country like a dog and make it bark.

LOL all they’d have to mention is Gender identity or Abortion and USA would protest them

Shoot, Sweden, Italy, Norway, Finland, Denmark, England, and company are more topsy-turvy than we ever were or (hopefully) will be. Don't kid me.

he's only famous in WWE circles. I had never heard of him before UFC signed him

I obviously know it's because of his pro wrestling, but why was he "chosen" by the writers/producers to become champ? I only know the guy from UFC, and with all respect i see someone who:

- Is not athletic
- Doesn't have an impressive body (at all)
- Is a pretty boring speaker
- Has little charisma

So what was it? Gotta be something right?

{<huh}

he was good at wwe stuff. it just like why is hulk hogan famous 2 right

Because of his creativity. I used to watch wwe when i was a kid. I don't appreciate it now but you gotta give the man dues. Even Vince McMahon knew how good the guy was even when he was trashing his own company.. guy could sell as a pro wrestler.

He has no business being anywhere near mma tho

You answered your own question in the first sentence of your shitpost. If you want to dig deep into why Pro Wrestling promotes certain people, there is another forum for that.

He did it in spite of everything you said working against him cos

1) works hard
2) cuts a great promo
3) has charisma. His "character" is very close to who he is as a person, and fans respond to that

Always found him overrated as a wwe wrestler but everyone has their own opinion I guess.

I don't want to know why, fuck fake ass WWE.

/thread.

Yea....for what tho? His acting?
Probably the message he was spewing out (drug free) (bully free) and whatever else generic message he was sending. Plus, you need to take into account the average WWE fan, young children etc.

Exceptional skills matter anywhere, fake or not

Yes they do. But no one is telling Zidane he should win or lose his next match.
Every match he gives everything to win.
Which is not the case with pro wrestling.

I don't watch wrestling but I sorta knew of him since he was doing it for a long time.

CM Punk had a huge following long before he ever got to WWE. Wrestling is funny like that, guys who you wouldnt think would be the most popular often ware .. and the fans dictate that mostly, not management.

haha, I dont think you understand the concept of wrestling. In a big match every wrestling involved has a shit ton of motivation to 'give it all' even if they are losing .... that's how they get the fans dude. haha.

Why it is that everyone from shitty european countries whos entire existence is due to American actions trash America so much? America isn't the only place that has useless celebrities; as a matter of fact, all celebrities are useless, it could be argued. Do you think every american - all at once - said, "All of us - the Americans - love CM Punk and want CM Punk to fight in the UFC and be made into a huge deal"?
Just asking this question triggered this in you? Wow. I actually really like the US but for some reason you just have a dick small enough to be offended by this thread. Lol.
