Because I'm here to watch mixed martial arts, not kickboxing, and I especially don't want to watch a sport where someone has artificially attained a championship through matchmaking instead of by being the best. I want Perreira's hype to be real, but it won't be until he's proven that he is the best.

Izzy said "Earn a rematch". Alex no longer wanted to cut to 185 lbs. Him not getting another immediate title fight at MW isn't exactly an injustice. And it is ridiculous as fuck to claim a guy is scared of the guy he just KTFO.

Izzy moved on to other opponents and so did Alex. Pereira could have earned another MW title fight with a couple of wins over other contenders but chose to go to LHW.

You seem to see something that is several shades of grey as black and white. So imagine if I were to do the same:

Alex DUCKED the entire MW top 10 because he was scared. He knew he would lose to them all after having his chin DESTROYED by Izzy. He ran away to LHW. Being a weight bully wasn't working for him anymore.

And while this is an MMA Forum, It's not like we are including dancing competitions. We are talking about very relevant fighting data and their experience.

Israel wanted to prove to HIMSELF that he could beat Alex. And he did.

Nah I'll talk DDP as champ. I actually like the way he fights. He goes after it. Watching Strickland beat Izzy was a great fight but overall Strickland is to complacent. Same with Izzy.
