Haiti is apparently amazing.

Haiti has beautiful beaches untouched by resorts. Port of Prince is a fucking shithole. The countryside is actually nice.

People normally say this, but I have rarely had any problems during my visits. There are a few nutjobs who like to talk crap, but I found that the overwhelming majority of people were very friendly and respectful if you were friendly and respectful in turn.

Yeah, you're right; the only bad experience I had with locals were the jerkholes working in the sandwich shop that advertised free wifi that didn't work. I rescind my statement.

Great food like Hawaii? Was that a typo? There aren't that many places that have mountains and beaches right next to each other, but basically any tropical island would probably be a similar experience to Hawaii.
