Alternative to Hawaii - Sounds Poor Thread

Help me out Sherbros. Went to Hawaii last year for a week and loved it. But my cost for 1 week was as much as 13 days in Japan. In other words, Hawaii is expensive.

So what other places are cheap that has great beaches and food like Hawaii?

Some friends of mine have been on vacation in Japan for fifteen years and it costs them nothing.

All they have to do is teach EAASL full time.

Try Puerto Rico, or Bahamas. Plenty of beaches there, and are surrounded by Ocean.

I always thought of PR as the Hawaii for east coasters.

ive always thought that as well, but ive been told by multiple friends recently that a lot of prefectures in japan are pretty affordable.
