All Time GOAT poll

You might not agree with it, but that's what the public thinks. Silva and GSP fans wont like it, but they're both cheaters and Khabib is not. Jones is still obviously the only answer for #1
How are Khabib and DJ there over Aldo? Aldo is severely underrated in the GOAT discussion, he has perhaps the strongest strength of schedule of any GOAT candidate and he's still chugging along. Won the title back in 2009 and in 2022 is still a top 5 fighter, just think about that. If he grabs that BW he can't be denied anymore.

He's tied for the most title defences in LW history, is undefeated at LW, his 3 title defences were finish victories against guys in p4p top 10.

Penn accomplished more outside of LW than Khabib, but if we're talking about LW itself Khabib all day and everyday. The LW Goat.
Guys like Penn, Aoki, and Alvarez have more top 10 wins than Khabib but of course Khabib is undefeated, barely lost a round, never got dropped, never got cut etc. Khabib's legacy is defined a lot by those kinds of stats whereas the other guys have more checkered records despite more top wins.

How can you say that when he's not even active? He's sat out far too long to keep claiming that status.
When he actually picks up a win again we can start having a different discussion. But until then he might as well be retired.

Who cares if he's retired, he was on top of the LHW division for 9 years, and never really lost. Heck it's arguable that he was on top of both lhw and hw considering he fought and beat the best HW of that era twice.

Compared that to Anderson who ruled undefeated for 5 years then collapsed, and GSP who matched Jones 9 years, but lost half way through.

If you want to overlook the steroids of course that he would be the goat. I won’t overlook that at all, though.

At this point its Jones and it's not even close
Reyes, Santos and Gus all beat Jon up badly and he got gifted those decisions.

I can't see Khabib getting beat up by that level of opponent in his weight class. Those guys were good but not champ material.

Wut?

Imho it would take quite a bit to dethrone silva

Difference is Anderson, unlike Jones, never popped as a champ, let alone for the biggesrt win in his career, like Jon Jones did.

He popped in his 40s after a career-ending injury.

I understand shertards need simpleton logics to grasp but its not that hard to see the difference here, mate.
When you are popping Pre-USADA.. Dude you are roiding pretty hard.

Even Sonnen got away with it for the most part. He will tell you he was roided his whole UFC career..

Jon Jones no question. It depends on how you rank him with PED suspensions. Regardless, the legacy he's put together is nuts. If he can put a HW title into his resume as well, he's unquestionably the best.

Khabib is top 10, but only 3 title defenses. That's a big hit. It's what makes guys like Jones, Silva and GSP so incredible, because they ruled for years.

Wanderlei need to at least be listed in the poll

-There's only 1 Undefeated GOAT who has become P4P No.1

-Jones lost to USADA and got DQed even if you don't think he didn't lose to Gustaffson 1, Santos and Reyes.

Jones = 26-1+USADA
Khabib= 29-0

, but only 3 title defenses.
Because UFC robbed his title shot for 2 years that's explained many times plus that criteria includes close fights could go either way, robbery decisions and even draws.

For example: Volk should've lost the Holloway 2 now that counts as a title defense for him, its a nonsense criteria if you take it out of context.

This is what casuals think, the fact Khabib is over GSP says it all.

Conor was coming off double champ status when Khabib beat him and was the #2 p4p in the world. You can look at his abilities retroactively and say okay Justin, Dustin, and prime RDA were all better wins than him but that's not how these lists are generally made.

Conor was fairly untested at LW. He had the one fight where he got a KO against a very favorable matchup. The problem is most of his achievements were at FW. I don't think Conor has really proved he belongs at LW and the Khabib fight should be viewed as such.

When you are viewing GOAT status you are looking retroactively. If Conor was as great as you are making him out to be why couldn't he win again at LW after Khabib?

So hard yet Silva never popped during the long 7 years he reigned as a champ.

Sonnen is actually very honest about his use and says that started in 2008. His debut in UFC was in 2005. You GSP fanboys dont get tired of spreading lies and pushing bs revisionism? It's fucking sick

And the NSAC addressed and changed the rules or protocols. Only cutmen handle vaseline these days.

But for people to act like GSP did it himself, which his haters do constantly. Or to pretend it was some kind of planned way to cheat are just fucking lying. Especially when there are at least Two filmed instances of Silva actually rubbing it on himself.

It’s just a coping mechanism for his haters. But it’s beyond pathetic and a freaking lifetime ago. GSP’s haters are the epitome of Rent Free. And no matter what they say or how long they obsess over it. They aren’t changing anything. At some point you’d think they’d accept it for the unintentional act it was and move on.

Dude, the most dishonest, revisonist, obsessive, sick fanboy/haters in these boards are unquestionably the GSP haters.

You can ask Khabib, Silva, Fedor, Jones, Aldo, Johnson or whoever you want, and the common answer will be: the legion of GSP fanboys in sherdog are the worst of them all, by far. Its not even close.
