All Time GOAT poll

who did Fedor beat in their prime exactly?

Most of his opponents actually, which is a lot more than you cay say about the washed up husk of a division that HW has been in the past decade.

1. Anderson Silva
2. GSP
3. Mighty Mouse
4. Jose Aldo
5. Fedor or Jones

1 and 2 could switch. 3 and 4 could switch

Anderson Silva showed incredible boxing skills, techniques and abilities

GSP showed incredible technique and was elite no matter where the fight went. He out boxed the best strikers and outwrestled or submitted the best wrestlers.

Anderson was a far more exciting fighter who finished fights usually in spectacular fashion but GSP had tougher competition. Its a toss up between these 2.

I voted Fedor, Just for old time sake. But its GSP. Jones is a thread for the number 2 spot based on a potential run at HW. It remains an interesting and close decision imho. You look at the top 10 at 170, George probably beats them all, Usman beats him but He runs through 2-9 still. GSP vs USMAN is huge.

Both guys are in their mid 40's still competing with young hungrier lions. Fedor in mma, Anderson not only in mma but in boxing as well. THey never took safe fights. They never said no regardless of the risk based on name of the opponent. They didnt wait 4 years to cherry pick a 40 year old guy with one eye and a foot out the door. They have given us courageous performances and in Fedors case, amazing wins against big names.

Anderson just went into boxing and handily beat a guy 12 years younger than him who was a former world champ.

Bones is the greatest talent but his story is complicated with peds and out of the cage bs. He may be the greatest of them all when its all said and done, but right now I just dont see how anyone would choose Aldo, Cejudo or a guy like gsp who fought the weakest competition out of any long term champ, never finished a fight and ducked two divisions while retiring at 29.

if you dont respect Anderson and Fedor there is something seriously wrong with you. I would love to see what some of you will be doing at 46 years old. These guys are fighting killers and winning.

There is ZERO discussion

Lol @ there's no discussion, particularly when it comes to Anderson Silva.

Only a thought experiment/hypothetical in a way, but if prime Anderson Silva was a 155er, there are numerous fighters who'd be *heavily* favored over him, be it Khabib, Tsarukyan, Makhachev or Gamrot.

Both guys are in their mid 40's still competing with young hungrier lions.

Completely irrelevant to the GOAT discussion.

THey never took safe fights.

Fedor fought dozens of cans and even non-fighters as well as people two weight classes below.

I would love to see what some of you will be doing at 46 years old.

Empty rhetoric entirely irrelevant to the matter at hand.

It makes me wonder why Fedor's admirers could never come up with a coherent argument. It's always either pure emotion or just blatant lies.
